Creepy Crawlies!!
September 26th, 2007
Gah and double gah! I was lying in bed, trying to drift into sleep when I felt something on my face, I thought maybe it was my hair tickling me or Emma's tail and went to brush my hair out of the way when I got the distinct feeling of crawling legs. Quickly brushing whatever it was away, I lunged for the lamp, scared the pants off poor Emma, and then turned to find the largest spider I've ever encountered crawling around on my pillow. Ahhhhhhhhh! I didn't scream, but I did yell. Ack!
Sorry to the spider lovers out there. I know they're not out to get me, but gosh darnit, they give me the creeps. I will usually hush them outside whenever possible, but I didn't know what to do this guy. He was too big. I grabbed my pillow with him scrambling around the sides and ran into the kitchen where I dropped it and yelled for the fiansor (who is loving Halo 3) so that he could see the monstrous spider that was just crawling over my mouth. Gah! Ew! Double yucko!
Needless to say, I have a serious case of the creepy-crawlies. I'm itchy all over and am wondering if there are spider friends lurking in my bedroom ready to crawl into my mouth while I'm asleep and drooling. Waa. I went back to the bedroom to investigate and found a weird insect lurking on my curtains. I don't even know what it is, but I'm not to keen on getting into bed right now.
I think I need to take a shower.

OMG, I shouldn’t have read this! Now I feel itchy too.
The same thing happened to me when I was 12 and far more terrified of spiders than I am now. I could not sleep in my bed or bedroom for several days.
Breathe deeply, my dear. Breathe. Just do it with your mouth closed.

Oh, oh as much as I like spiders – at a distance – I would be utterly freaked out by a spider crawling on my face!!!!!! I hope you were able to shower and breathe and get some rest. YIKES!

AHH!! Oh my goodness!!! I can’t believe that happened to you! I’m glad it didn’t bite you! Maybe it was in your room hunting that weird bug on your curtains?

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH YUK!!! You have my complete sympathies… something similar happened to me once, I had the creepy-crawlies-need-to-take-a-shower feeling for days YUK YUK YUK. Personally I have no sympathy for the little critters when they get THAT close… in my instance it went up the hoover

Seriously, it might hurt you!
My Father got bitten by a spider about two years ago and had to be in the hospital for three days and they actually considered amputating his leg because the poison had spread so far. It is dangerous! It took him a whole summer – about four months – to fully get over it.
So, please be careful! Creepy crawlies bug me too (no pun intended )
Love,
Karen Beth

I’m one of those spider lovers and with all due respect to those that I love, ANYONE crawling over your face (without permission) when you are trying to fall asleep deserves EVERYTHING they get! If she hadn’t wanted sqwooshing, she should have chosen somewhere else to crawl.
