I’m coming to the end of the first draft of my novel (hurrah!) and am currently battling through the final chapters and the Zimbabwe elections to finish up ..

About to start a studio revamp. Thanks to all the participants for the inspiration! :)

I’ve been making a variety of things, especially ATCs. Just recently, i created 2 vintage pillow type ATCs posted there on my blog.

Here is a finished version of an abstract floral I did:

I also did my first every ACEO’s–also featured in my shop. I am really trying to focus creating multiples of things that can be considered part of a collection or at the least in the same color family so if people do want to collect my art, they have a cohesive grouping to choose from. Very difficult for me as I tend to want to try everything!!

i am still working on my illuminated tile series; here is one of the flowers. I take a stroll with one in hand and my camera and shoot them in different locations

I’m finding creativity is a essential part of me nowadays. I’m playing with watercolors – and doing some photography.

I finished a mixed media painting that used homemade stamps, peeling paint, and cocoa powder for various textures.

Just click on posted by: Flassie below and it will take you right to the sketch I did of one of my great-nephews. There will be links to a book that I used to create head masks and crowns and some other things from. Also there will be links to different photos of a jumper I turned into a pinafore. I also went for a walk today and picked up some pink blossoms from the ground and put them in a creamer.

After several months away from my beads, I made a necklace, bracelet & earring set as a gift for a young friend who is competing in a national poetry recitation competition in Washington, DC this weekend. I was so happy to get it done without my hands cramping up on me that I forgot to photograph it.
Yesterday I went looking for fresh inspiration by taking some photos in my yard.

I’ve been trying to get ‘at least a dozen large paintings’ done, for a display in a restaurant–plus trying to get to kids baseball and softball games, do laundry (ha!), clean house (double ha!) and breathe. All at once, it seems!
