I wanted to drop you a note about a change that I am making on my blog.
I am changing the format soon to create a quicker download and I plan am taking my recprical links to it’s own page. But I wanted to make the recprical page special – rather then just listing people I thought I would put a little thumb photo or the logo of the site and a brief description. I appreciate your listing of my link on your site so I wanted to see if you were interested in this. If you are interested please send the image you would like to use and a short description to this address. I plan to create that page before I update my main page template. Right now the bare bones link page is at:
http://ascenderrisesabove.com/wordpress/?page_id=4330.
It will be a slow process as I will only be able to work on it a little bit a day.
Let me know if you are interested.

My week is going to be full of creative activity! I am the Featured Artist for the Redlands Art Association, October 4-25, and I’m down to last minute preparations. The show will be hung on Saturday afternoon. I’m busy picking out the final artwork, working on framing, designing the installation, etc. Many thanks to you and your blog for constant encouragement and eye candy!

I’m taking Paulette Insall’s organic dimension background class. Here’s what I’ve done so far (Lesson 2) http://twistylane.blogspot.com/2008/09/organic-dimensions-lesson-2.html
I’m also crocheting dolls for two precious little girls in California. One doll is almost finished. Hope there will a picture up next week!

I recently got some of Golden’s new Open Acrylics. You can see my first study on my blog. I enjoyed working with them very much.
I’ve been invited to demo at a small studio/gallery this coming Sat., so I’m working on preps for that. Yesterday I attended a very nice outdoors art festival, which was great for touching base with fellow artists and being inspired by some lovely paintings.

Oh I’ve been on a roll lately! Oh and Badfaery count me in! Perfect timing!! Ooooo, to think I almost missed it, arrrgh, I did miss it last year – I discovered it in the last days of October (or was it early November).
You know I wonder if my subsconscious knew and that is why I suddenly began drawing lately? hmmmm

Despite moving (again) I am still busy busy creating—seems like when my life is in a big transition (like now—splitting up from a longtime relationship) I purge and get rid of stuff AND I become quite a bit more creative…
here is my latest blog post, with my latest textile design (”I’ll Fly Away”)

making art has always been a refuge and a solace for me…

Thanks Leah for letting me join this wonderful project. OK..so here goes with my first post. I like the idea that creativity can be contagious and when a local preschool asked me to add something to their walls to inspire the kids, I jumped at the chance.
