Art Every Day Month, November 20th

November 20th, 2008

Today is the 20th day of Art Every Day Month. Another beautiful day to create!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post, the previous day's posts and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation! For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.

p.s. The widget has been appearing and disappearing in the last 24 hours. It may be some coding bug and hopefully will be resolved soon. I'm seeing the widget now (at 11:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.) But if you don't see it, simply leave your link in the comments. Thanks!

You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have. -Maya Angelou

I love Maya Angelou’s quotes. And this one in particular is so true. We might as well spread around out creativity for everyone because there will always be more inside us . . . waiting to be used.

Love the quote and find it to be quite true for me. The more often I work at something creative, the more ideas I have. If I go for long periods of not producing “art”, it is much harder for me to get started.

Yay! The widget is back.
*Paula happily wanders in cyber land still eating cookies even if she is not waiting any more*

I am happily working on another doll making project. Stay tuned for the details.

Thee quote… soooo very true…. thanks, Leah. :0) Hugs, Louisa

Great quote! and thanks Leah for encouraging and reminding us that living a creative life is good for the mind & the soul! :o )

A great quote. I keep forgetting to post here. Several new drawings are on my blog. I trying to scan now but am having trouble because the scanner is cutting off the pictures. I have to take a deep breath and see if I can somehow adjust this. thanks to all of you who have been looking at my work..big thanks

Leah’s lollipop trees made me think of Duke Ellington’s It Don’t Mean A Thang If You Ain’t Got That Swing. What a creative man. He embodied what Dr. Angelou said about creativity in today’s quote:

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

Duke Ellington was always creating. He did something every day he lived. WOW. What a AEDM man.

Enjoy your day and week!

Today I turned corrugated cardboard into romantic Italian rooftops. OK, maybe not so romantic. But definitely Italian rooftops.

Love the quote!

Oh, there’s the widget!!!

yay oh yay! i’ve posted a painting that i’ve finally finished!!! it’s my time mandala… it’s ironic that my painting about time took me the longest to complete! but it just wasn’t saying it was finished… until today. yipeeee!!!

I posted a photo diptych today from yesterday’s challenge on Shutter Sisters; along with a response to a meme challenge from forecryeye. I was thinking today about cultivating joy and I love the idea of Angelou’s quote in terms of that – the more creativity and JOY I experience, the more I have!

I guess creativity is like love in that way.

Mine today is another labyrinth. It’s looking like a series!

it’s been a while, but i am back on the everyday :: or there abouts:: creative everyday wagon :) can i go ahead and link here?

hugs!
shelbi
