Art Every Day Month, November 27th

November 27th, 2008

Today is the 27th day of Art Every Day Month. Today is Thanksgiving in America and I like to think of it as a day to be grateful. I'm especially grateful today for all of your support for AEDM, the sharing you've done, and the kind words you've shared with me and with each other. It warms my heart and inspires me to no end!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post, the previous day's posts and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation! For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.

I want to thank anyone who spends part of their day creating. I don't care if it's a book, a film, a painting, a dance, a piece of theater, a piece of music. Anybody who spends part of their day sharing their experience with us. This world would be unlivable without art. Thank you for inspiring me. -Steven Soderbergh

Art surely does makes our world and for those around us a wonderful place to live.

Such a simple, genuine expression of thanks from Mr. Soderbergh. And thanks to all of you, and to Leah, for this experience, and for all the kind feedback on my creations. It’s been great.

Leah – “thanks” doesn’t seem enough for all you do to create a place for all of us. But whatever the *real* word is that expresses enough gratitude, consider it said. You are amazing and I am so thankful you are there! (after all, I’d not have my lovely Subway pictures without you – or the bird lady – or every November to look forward to…you have no idea how in my life you are!)

A very nice sentiment indeed!

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the wonderful sense of family that I feel when I see that you have taken the time to come to my blog and look at what I have to offer, and especially to those of you who have offered advice and/or left such warm and positive comments.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. Don’t eat too much!! ROFLMAO

Giving THANKS today for being allowed to share our gift of creativity!
(((HUGS Leah!!))) :o )

I too am humbled as well as thankful for Leah and the many wonderful artists I have met in my participation in AEDM…I have been inspired and amazed at the generous spirit that lives here within this community of artists. I hope to continue my efforts to create art everyday.

I do want to offer a prayer of peace for the world outside our own in which there is much suffering and today, as we join with those we love in thanksgiving, to remember the less fortunate … my son and his wife are in thailand on this day, another country besides beautiful India under siege … I would ask your prayers that this and all strife around this planet be replaced with peace….Namaste’

I am grateful to live in a place where we are free to express ourselves with art, that we are not cast down or labeled “degenerate” as Hilter did to artists who did not conform to his idea of art.
I am grateful to Leah and others like her, who have a vision and carry through to set up community like this challenge. You help me grow. You spur me on. Blessings to you.
God bless you all.

I am very thankful for AEDM, for Leah and all of the other wonderful people I have connected with through this challenge.

Thank you Leah for creating this space for us to connect and share. Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!

I almost missed posting this day. Too much cooking… which is a different kind of creating.

Does it count for Mr Soderbergh’s definition?
