Art Every Day Month, November 28th
November 28th, 2008
Today is the 28th day of Art Every Day Month. November is coming to a close, tucking itself in for another year. The month has flown by for me. AEDM always makes it such a full and wonderful month!
The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post, the previous day's posts and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!
If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation! For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.
If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the before you use the link widget to share your creations.
I have no idea of what it's going to look like when I start a piece. Making art is like having a relationship. You want to bring in some ideas, but if you don't allow it to develop naturally and speak to you as it develops, you end up imposing and projecting upon it.

I definitely had no clue what today’s paintings were going to look like when I started them! But somehow that makes it all the more exciting when something good comes out of them.

This comment is perfect for what I started with watercolor for today’s post. I have no earthly idea what it will be, and only hopes that it will be fun, bright, colorful. Not much else.

“tucking itself in for another year”- quoting you from above Leah. Yep, that’s exactly how I feel today, settling in for hibernation mode. But first I must go take a walk in the snow. I am curious, do all artists TALK to their art when creating it? Happy Friday!:o)

What a wonderful month it has been! I’ve loved seeing your work and that of other creative folks.

Leah: I joined early in November and have been displaying the AEDM on my blog – I have been remiss in posting any kind of regular updates or links. Before November officially closes, I’d like to post a few things on the Flickr group or add a link to my blog or something. It really has inspired me to be mindful of creating and I’ve made it happen except for 1 or 2 days. Great idea, soul filling… and thanks for being such an inspiration.

loving this quote, maybe the best of all! it speaks to my way of making art, almost like making love to the work…..thanks leah, it’s been fun, more work than I’ve been motivated to do in quite some time and something I will continue onward with (hopefully!).
many blessings…

That quote by Nick Bantock is what it feels like when I write a lot. And often when I paint, too.
It’s often about listening and pay attention, as much as creating or authoring.

Haven’t put my art/painting work from this week but have included some dust storm photos for my Friday’s AEDM item.
I like the moon picture that you painted. Reminds me of me, how I sit in the window here at home and watch the moon rise.
I can’t believe that the month is nearly over – two days to go.
Thanks for letting me join in and for all of your comments on my AEDM items. I have had a lot of fun creating and challenging myself with new art works.
Thanks again
Emma

Some more card images are done. I just might get them all finished in time!

Wonderful quote and oh so true!
I started working on my art note cards today and a few I had in mind of what kind of design I wanted. As noted in the quote, the universe had other plans!

I’ve been working on a few originals–but can’t photograph them because I’m going to try to submit them for publishing. Just wanted to stop and say belated Thanksgiving! Hope you had a great day

I just now realised to check this website, I could have been posting all month the projects I’ve done, most are on my Livejournal blog…It has been a good encouragement
