Lantern

Lantern

Here's the Lantern painting finished. Much of the collaged background has been covered, but bits of it still show through. This is a picture, taken in the evening, so the colors are a bit more rich in person. I'll scan it later to make prints from.

I'm hoping to get the calendar proof tomorrow and then if all goes well, I'll be able to start taking orders on Tuesday. I'll let you know as soon as they're ready to go.

The Soul Coaching exercises today were about your physical being. I noticed I felt resistant to doing the exercises. I don't feel like I've been taking the best care of myself lately. I could give reasons, but it doesn't matter much. The simple fact is that I need to do a better job of taking care of myself. A couple people have asked about this book group and whether it would be happening again. I believe Jamie is planning to run another group through this book in January, which is right around the corner!

I'm feeling totally blah this evening. Working on the painting was good, but my energy is low. So, I'm off to spend the remainder of the evening on some soothing self care: relaxing, reading, and drinking something warm...perhaps tea with honey! I hope your weekend was a lovely one!

I’m really loving this, Leah!

I love all the circular elements repeated throughout.

One of my favorite parts of doing soul coaching has been seeing what you come up with everyday in your painting. This is wonderful and inspiring.

I love all the round shapes in your painting — the moon, the spirals, the lantern light, the round skirt. Really cool. And the colours are wonderful!

Yes, this is my favourite one you’ve done this month. It’s such a beautiful mixture of gothic, mystery and peace. AEDM is almost over! What are we going to do in December? I gotta get into something or I’m gonna slump more that I am already!

Beautiful painting. It reminds me of the Hermit card in tarot– finding the path, lighting the way.

absolutely beautiful – beautiful colors – bold and strong!!!

What a beautiful piece, Leah.

I’m so glad that we’ve been on the Soul Coaching journey together. I am going to lead another book blogging group in January, but it will be with another book. I’m really looking forward to it!

love this-I hope she finds what she is searching for (well, that’s how I see her anyways)
I can’t believe it’s almost the end of ADM:(

oh, it melts me. just want to lose myself where she is. gorgeous.

oh, this is just greatttt!

This is absolutelys tunning. The colours are so rich and warm. It makes one wonder where the lady is off to … Hugs from Desire

i love the way the words show through the moon. Gee, you think I’m drawn to words in art?!

I am so glad I discovered this site. It’s been the best thing I have found on the internet. Your art is wonderful and I have so enjoyed viewing some of the other links. What a wonderful community you have created. I am gearing up to partipate in 2009 and have posted some previous work for now. Happy Holidays!

Leah, this is gorgeous!

Love how this turned out! It was fun seeing the painting come together in your various posts. Thanks for sharing that.

Your art is inspirational, Leah, as is your blog. This piece looks FANTASTIC! I love the colours and composition.

I hope you had a restful evening.

love, light and peace,
serena

I can relate, I’ve been pretty blah here myself lately. This painting though is amazing! Maybe you are coming down after a high after doing such incredible work! ;)

Thanks for sharing!

Love this! The depth, the shades, the luminosity. Very dreamy.

Oh my, she is beaming Leah, and she has found her path! Beautifullllllll :o )

This painting is so beautiful.

The rich blues and the concentric circles on this are lovely . . . it’s so cool to see how consistently you’re working! Rock on! And yeah, I always get a little “blah” this time of year . . . I laugh to admit it, but I’ve been seeing a trainer, and it seems to help . . . forcing myself to exercise three times a week . . .yikes! And I’m psyched to see the calendar!

Oh, you’ve finished this painting. I don’t know how I was able to miss this post! Argh! Anyway, this painting is wonderful. Wonderful colors and texture. It’s beautiful.
