CED Challenge Check-in: May 4th – May 10th
May 4th, 2009
Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!
This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.
Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 5/4/09 - 5/10/09.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.
Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here.
If you want to sign up to be a part of the challenge, leave a comment on this post or email me to let me know. When you contact me, please let me know how you'd like to be listed in the list of participants, which resides in the right sidebar (I can list you as your name or as a link to a blog if you have one. A blog is not required to participate!) Please email or comment to let me know you're participating before you start posting links in the comments or on the "Mr. Linky" widget.
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for May is nature. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the theme here.
Happy Creating!!
Nature often holds up a mirror so we can see more clearly the ongoing processes of growth, renewal, and transformation in our lives. ~Mary Ann Brussat
p.s. Some behind the scenes web/server stuff has been happening in the last week which has meant that some of the newer CED participants haven't been added to the list of participants yet, but I'm working on it and they'll be up soon!

Hubby & I got my art show hung. I was so exhausted that he was the guest writer on my blog to post about it.

a poem, no illo.
Up all night long with insomnia. Too tired to be clever.
But the poem is a little bit funny.

These days I feel like I’m going against my “nature” but that counts too, right?

I’m trying to incorporate the nature prompt into at least some of my paintings.
And I loved both your articles in Artful Blogger. I am also beyond grateful and overjoyed to be a part of the Creative Everyday portion.

Thanks, as always. And without knowing the theme for the month, yet, I managed to operate under it’s hint.

May is all about new beginnings and nature does it best. This week I’m working on learning how to paint clouds. And am photographing the splendid nature around me where I live and hike. Thank you for being a part of my life goal to be creative every, single day.

It’s been awhile since I posted anything, but check out http://tyquilts.com/blog/?p=272 for photos and art journal entry that go along with this months theme.
Ps I am unable to find the widget anymore even though it used to show up from my rss feed. Where do we find that?

Hi Leah–I peeked at Artful Blogging and saw you in it!! I haven’t purchased it yet but was so excited to see someone I ‘know’ yah!
Here’s a little video I did this week from last week’s outdoor show, it’s a little blurry in parts funny how it wasn’t when I uploaded but anyway….one of the things I’ve been working on is learning how to do videos, edit, upload, etc…too much fun!

Fabric birdhouses, potato bins, and an orchid drawing are the subjects for this week. I’ve gotten behind on this challenge but finally feel like I have something to contribute.

Before i head off to work on several other projects where I am planning to try drawing things…..
I love your art work.
Thank you so much for hosting this challenge.

No Nature in this, except the suggestion of leaves in the background. It’s a quick water color sketch of my husband listening to our son have his piano lesson.

Hi Leah and All, I’m still playing with you all, even though I missed last week. Life is just making it a little more challenging right now. I’m still drawing every day and trying to write something. I’ve posted new doodle sketches with little stories on both Scribbles and Moxie Blue.
I’m not having time right now to visit all of your wonderful blogs like I used to, but I look forward to visiting each of you soon and getting inspired. Keep creating.
