CED Challenge Check-In: June 22 – June 28
June 22nd, 2009
Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!
This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.
Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 6/22/09 - 6/28/09.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.
Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here.
If you want to sign up to be a part of the challenge, leave a comment on this post or email me to let me know. When you contact me, please let me know how you'd like to be listed in the list of participants, which resides in the right sidebar (I can list you as your name or as a link to a blog if you have one. A blog is not required to participate!) Please email or comment to let me know you're participating before you start posting links in the comments or on the "Mr. Linky" widget.
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for June is sound. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the theme here.
Happy Creating!

Ok, technically this happened last week, but I’m just getting around to sharing it now. Had a wonderful evening at the Lake Harriet bandshell with my family – summer songs, summer sounds and summer sights. And totally free. See if you can hear the music in your head…

Hosting a Solstice fest for all the Heroes, Shadows, and heARTists out there. If you have a post you want to share celebrating your heART — well, come play! That’s what I’m up to this week. There are a few other posts on the blog, too, about all the lovely WRECKING I’ve been doing for Wreck This Journal. And then we’ll see what else comes as this new week unfolds! Miracles to each of you! k-

This past week my 8yo was off spending time w her cousins…leaving me in peace and quiet…more than I expected. The silence was so BEAUTIFUL. The absence of sound did more for me than anything else.

My post this week is not strictly linked to sound, unless you include the sound of my sewing machine, but I’ve been having a go at some mixed media work. I’m doing this for the first time and have to say that in no small measure I credit Leah, CED and everyone who left such wonderful comments on my blog over the last couple of weeks, for helping me find the courage to do it. So thank you everyone and now I’m coming to visit!

I am still doing the 100 in 100 challenge with Rowena of Warrior Girl, and though not everything I do each day relates to sound, this painting did! It came to me as a quick image in my mind after meditating (as a lot of images do), and it is an angel singing from her heart, which I painted for my angel project. I am not religious; however, angels are a fascination for me and I love getting messages from them!

Hi there, Leah and everyone!
It’s been a while since I stopped by here! Nevertheless, I’ve been creating words every day! I sprinkled some “sound” themes throughout my haiku, senryu, tanka, and other Japanese-related forms. Please enjoy the Twitter link!

While traveling in Europe this summer, I focused on drawing mandalas and journaling. Few supplies needed and I could draw/write almost anywhere… I’ll be posting soon.
