Hi Leah and everyone else (because I often read everyone’s comments – such a talented group!). Love the theme of inspiration and all the wonderful posts about it – yours and all the guest posts too. I am nearing the end of 2 big projects, both the 100 in 100 challenge with Rowena and a big angel project I have been working on for months, so there is no lack of ideas for work. I hope your move is continuing to go well, and that you will soon be happily planted in your new home.

My Mum gave me a heap of her artist magazines so I am reading through all of those. Wow, there are a gazillion ideas flying through my head. I just write them all down for now, in the hope I’ll get around to experimenting with it one day soon. Talk about inspiration! I found it!

Leah, I hope everything is going smoothly for you. It’s a busy time, that’s for sure. We are all thinking of you.

My current inspiration is found in painting goddesses, and I’m finding that it’s transforming my style as an artist. Historically, my painting were female portrait studies with simple backgrounds, but the symbolism found in my goddess studies, is challenging with me to incorporate more complex imagery.

I’m finding that letting the creative ebb & flow of my life have it’s way can be exhausting…but in a wonderful way. I wake up thinking about the next wonderful thing I will create. I dream of color combinations and jump out of bed to get it all down before it vaporizes. Being a full time artist is good…life is good!

I lost my camera – left it with my knitting in a coffee shop or something and I have been in such a funk over it. No photos, less collaging, less photography… but I am writing. Always writing.

Working on my theatre stuff and more painting is happening.

And the blog post I linked to should inspire artists beyond just writers so enjoy everyone!
