Art Every Day Month Check-In: November 10th

November 10th, 2009

aedmlogored

Today is the 10th day of Art Every Day Month. I love the way everyone is supporting and encouraging each other. The community that develops each year around AEDM is such a delight and I encourage you all to continue to connect with other participants. It's so helpful and inspiring to know we're all creating together!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the AEDM info page for all the details, then send me an email to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. (If that email link isn't working, you can email me at leah at bluetreeartgallery.com)

Instructions: Please see the Art Every Day Month Instructions post if you have any confusion about how to post your link or how to sign up.

Twitter: Are you participating in AEDM and you're on Twitter too? I'm on there as @leah_art and I've been using the hashtag #aedm to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. I also started a Twitter list for AEDM which can help you easily find Twitter folks who are participating. If you're not on the Twitter list yet and would like to be, send me a DM (Direct Message on Twitter.)

Hello,
I’m so very greatful to all of you for visiting my blog and for your generous comments, HUGE thanks. I have been visiting your blogs and it’s overwhelming to see so much talent and incredible ART. Thanks Leah for this opportunity to meet so many artist : )

Good Morning. Today I created some “gift tag” ornaments that will go on a Christmas tree in a competition. Now I’m off to work on three minis I started a few days ago. Have a great, creative day all!

What do you do for your daily dose of fun? Today’s post is about adding fun to your life, something artists know more about than regular folk. The painting is on silk, and it says happy birthday in Hebrew. I did it in summer camp this summer while having loads of fun.
Blessings of creativity and fun,
Sandy

I just noticed that Sandy is asking about your daily dose of fun in her comment. My post today is about that and unexpected twist. The complete serendipity that happens with other artists always amazes me.

Enjoy your Day!

I think this is related to our creativity…I am thinking of starting a blog (I am a singer/songwriter/non-fiction writer), but I was totally stopped by the process of having to choose someone for web support. It seemed very complicated and I couldn’t get the download to work.
Can you offer any suggestions and/or help on how to get started? I appreciate any input that you can give me.

Hi,
I took part in AEDM last year and it was a wonderful experience.I am a little late in joining but hope to have the same great experience of sharing with a wonderful artistic community.

I love the word serendipity – and it amazes me each time I encounter it. Today in my journal page I had written a quote on one side and thought I needed an image of some sort for the other side – the first thing I came upon when I opend my folder of images was the word CHOOSE – which fit so perfectly with my quote : )

Hope everyone has an art-filled day!

What I loved most about creating my image for today was a bunch of memories from childhood that I hadn’t thought about for quite a while. It is that innocent place that contains so many creative juices!

Dear Leah,
Great day. :)
I have linked my art every day with a blog chain I am participating in this month, plus I shared a cake I made yesterday. :) There is something else in the works, but I will share that later tomorrow. :)
Happy Day

Hello all! My world continues to open up the world of visual journalling and I’m having a blast painting! I also LOVE seeing what you all are up to.

I am doing art everyday and loving it! Thanks for the motivation and inspiration.

I have been thinking a lot about transformation lately, so add that to the Fairy Tales theme for Artfest 20101, and I get poetic…

I’m making some last minute greeting cards for the upcoming holiday fair in Dorchester,Mass. I was told that I would have a big prominent space. Now I’m getting nervous and feel that I should have made more.

I’m having some interesting conversations about art/craft/creativity. This AEDM has really fertilized so many parts of my life. Thanks again, Leah!

MsKitty is back in TopsyTurvey Land..she’s my daily dose of fun!

Hi Leah and all…:) I’m joining in a little late but for the most part, I’m on track creating every day in my new studio…whooohooo! Since we last chatted, I’ve started teaching monthly locally. I’m featuring in my last blog post my class I taught Sunday on image transfers. Today I’m playing with doodles and having fun. Sometimes it’s not the masterpiece that counts in art, it’s the moment :)

Such a busy day! Puffy mittens had a trip to the local indie coffee shop with friends. Knitting in public is fun. So many people were interested in what we were making. Lesson on how to thrum mittens is included.

I love the subtle variagation of the chestnut dyed wool I’m using. The mittens matched the colour of my hot chocolate…yummmmm

I’m on my third day of AEDM and it’s been great so far. Lots of new ideas keep coming. It;s kind of like exercise for your art brain.

Still treckin. See everyone tomorrow.

Thanks to everyone who has dropped by my blog. I have been trying to get around to everyone’s and leave a comment. Everyone is so talented. It makes me excited.

Today was a good day for me.
