Art Every Day Month Check-In: November 18th

November 18th, 2009

aedmlogored

Today is the 18th day of Art Every Day Month. I've noticed a lot of folks mentioning that they're working on or thinking about creating similar things at the same time. This happens each year during Art Every Day Month, but it always delights me. Perhaps because we're all creating together this month, we're all connected energetically, and therefore on a similar wave-length. I don't know. But I do know that I love the little synchronicities that pop up everywhere! Have you experienced any fun synchronicity this month?

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the AEDM info page for all the details, then send me an email to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. (If that email link isn't working, you can email me at leah at bluetreeartgallery.com)

Instructions: Please see the Art Every Day Month Instructions post if you have any confusion about how to post your link or how to sign up.

Twitter: Are you participating in AEDM and you're on Twitter too? I'm on there as @leah_art and I've been using the hashtag #aedm to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. I also started a Twitter list for AEDM which can help you easily find Twitter folks who are participating. If you're not on the Twitter list yet and would like to be, send me a DM (Direct Message on Twitter.)

I work in whatever medium likes me at the moment. -- Marc Chagall

Update: I've recently switched web hosts, so my spam filter is catching a lot of comments and storing them until I approve them. If you don't see your comment show up right away, it's probably because I have to approve it first. Thanks for your patience!

I am able now to display art from a previous day! A baby hat made from handspun recycled sari silk. Love playing with colours!

I’ve made progress on the mural project and you can see how it looks tonight on my blog.

I totally think it is possible that synchronicity pops up…something about the collective consciousness and how we are connected. Perhaps working daily and sharing it also enables us to notice a bit more what everyone is doing and capture the instances of connectedness. It’s been very cool participating in AEDM…looking forward to each day!

Leah,

I am so enjoying your prompts each day; and I LOVE your little kitties.

xoxo

Leah,
Love that kitty snuggled in the bed. Our animals are always inspiring, aren’t they? I am really enjoying looking at everyone’s creations! Keep up the good work gals…

It has been such a busy time, my art keeps being born almost on its own… tonight, more rest and hopefully… more juicyness. In fact, I will just intend for juiciness.

Hi – I am creating a lot, just getting behind in posting in my blog about it. I think I finally caught up to yesterday’s artwork, though I realized as I posted it that I forgot to photograph a couple of things that I created on Sunday. Oh well. I am having fun, though, with this challenge. I always am more productive when I participate in challenges. Hmmm… maybe I should be in “permanent” challenge mode. It will be interesting to see what I can do next week with the holiday and having out of town visitors over the weekend.

I have noticed some synchronicities as I visit other blogs -My own thought process seems to be flowing easier – love creating every day, even if I don’t get a post up. Love visiting the sites.

I can’t believe it!
I am super happy creating art everyday ;-)

Thank you for this month and i am so glad i gave it a try.
Thanks again!

Some days I am prolific and other days I work a tiny bit on something. This month has made me aware of doing something everyday though so it’s great!

I’ve also noticed synchronicities. I think we are all connected in ways we don’t understand. It’s really fun to see them pop up.

I was feeling flustered yesterday. Sorry. After a deep cleansing breath, I am back into the magic of this month. Today, I closed my eyes and “jumped” off the edge…I posted a couple of watercolors I did. I don’t share my drawings or painting easily because it is scary to think of what others are really thinking. However, because this group has shown itself to be so supportive I decided I could take the risk.
Thanks, Leah, for creating this challenge so me and I am sure others could get use to sharing in a safe environment.

I like to call my CED a Dip-A-Dee-Doodle, because by making one I loose the “being in a dip” feeling by doodling along.
Thank you for letting me take part of your fun initiative!

working on a series. today is #3, and i am excited about #4 and#5, later this week….

I’m so impressed with all the fine work being posted by this month’s participating artists. I apologize if I’m not making the rounds to everyone…there is just so much fine art! Cool!

Posting an article today, sharing an exercise in Gratitude, I found myself searching folders for a good image to use. Then it struck me – make one! Create one! And so I did … half way down the page is an image with the words: ‘Seeds of Gratitude give rise to Loves bloom.’ It took me 30 minutes to plant, nourish and to bloom!

AEDM was fresh in my thoughts, and just the fuel (or fertilizer!) I need to give birth to something unique, new, and truly honoring of the amazing exercise in Gratitude I’m sharing today.

Thanks, Leah, and all you other Creatrixes out there!

Big Love, Hugs and Gratitude

Stacey

Today’s post is about a remarkable 12 year old girl I am tutoring for her Bat Mitzvah. I hope you are as inspired by her giving heart as I am. The illustration is by one of my art students from summer camp last summer.
Hugs,
Sandy

[...] on Tuesday of pink roses, I was inspired to try my hand at painting flowers for the 18th day of the Art Every Day Month Challenge. If I’ve ever tried to REALLY paint flowers, it has been [...]

I was frustrated today with my attempts at painting roses. More, than anything, this has been a very clear reminder to nurture my budding artist self. It is okay to be a beginner. I didn’t post my roses yesterday, but I did today. What a difference a night of sleep makes!
