Art Every Day Month Check-In: November 6th

November 6th, 2009

aedmlogored

Today is the 6th day of Art Every Day Month. Can you feel it? Can you feel the creative buzz? I love the fabulous energy that is being whipped up from all this simultaneous creating going on. It's amazing! And even though I feel it every year I do AEDM, it always knocks my socks off.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the AEDM info page for all the details, then send me an email to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. (If that email link isn't working, you can email me at leah at bluetreeartgallery.com)

Instructions: Please see the Art Every Day Month Instructions post if you have any confusion about how to post your link or how to sign up.

Twitter: Are you participating in AEDM and you're on Twitter too? I'm on there as @leah_art and I've been using the hashtag #aedm to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. I also started a Twitter list for AEDM which can help you easily find Twitter folks who are participating. If you're not on the Twitter list yet and would like to be, send me a DM (Direct Message on Twitter.)

It seems like I am creating art late into the night. Over the past 3 days I have dyed merino roving (sheep fleece) with kool-aid and spun it on my spinning wheel. Today I searched for a hat pattern, and have cast on for a beret.
I enjoy sharing my creative process with so many enthusiastic artists! Your comments and support are heartwarming.

Whoops – I think my check in was supposed to be on the November 5th post. But it’s here instead. Oh well. :) Continuing on with the embroidery, and gettin’ some gutsy moves! :)

Hi Leah! I’m loosening up and enjoying all the love from AEDM. Thanks!

day 5’s post is photos for skywatch friday, a meme that ensures art making for me at least once a week- i love the sky, and it’s fun to capture different views to share with others around the world once a week. and to go out & be inspired by lots of other lovely photos!

I definitely feel the buzz and very inspired every day. Thank you everyone for the great community, discussion and sharing!

this is so much fun – I’m allowing myself the joy of creating each day and I get to see what all of you are doing. How inspiring is that!

So, in my excitment I put the wrong url in my first posting!
The second post with my name leads to my blog. Silly me!

I’m finally able to take a few moments to put a post together. I’m hoping over the next few days to get into a habit of logging and blogging. :) It’s the logging and blogging part I fail at with these types of challenges. Happy creating all! I look forward to seeing what you’re all doing!

Today’s collage was inspired by an email I received by a friend about the topic of “I love you”. I created the collage with catalogue cutouts and laid them out on a hand painted chair that I painted a few years ago. Let me know your thoughts on my blog post please. I love comments!

Thank you for this challenge! I took a vacation day to work on the recipe scrapbook that I am making my mom for Christmas. I feel so relaxed. Much better than a trip to the mall.

I’ve posted Day #5, Natures inspirations and I am looking forward to making some art about them in the next few days.

I am so excited about the creative energy here. I had forgotten how exciting it was to read everyone’s posts and see what they are doing.
I wish I had time to comment on everyones work, it is all so beautiful and inspiring.

Day 4 & 5 got past me but I was back at it today. This challenge is helping stay focused.

This is a great challenge, Leah, and so far I’ve posted every day! I love being in the habit of working on art often! It’s a great experience!!

My art today was inspired by child’s play (this week’s chapter for The Joy Diet). I didn’t feel like a lot of words today. The framework of a haiku is a match for me today.

Excellent excellent stuff here. I love the diversity that’s coming together here bit by bit!

doing new things, pulling out old things…such energy! again, thank you for hosting!

Thank you Leah and everyone for the great ideas and wonderful spirit here at this challenge. I’m glad I’m here!

I have been posting everyday, but haven’t been getting back here to link, the days are flying by! I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been creating.

I did it again – posted – even though exhausted from a long day of travel and no time for art, but why can’t pictures of my grandkids be art? Anyway, that’s what it is for today. Later on I’ll look at what the rest of you have done and be inspired. Onward!
