Art Every Day Month Check-In: November 7th

November 7th, 2009

aedmlogored

Today is the 7th day of Art Every Day Month. Holy cannoli, a full week of Art Every Day is under our belts! No matter where you're at in the process, no matter how imperfectly it's going for you, give yourself some props today. You're doing beautifully.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links in the sidebar for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post (or specific image if you're linking to a flickr page or other website) instead of your main blog page or website. If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

If you're new to Art Every Day Month, check out the AEDM info page for all the details, then send me an email to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. (If that email link isn't working, you can email me at leah at bluetreeartgallery.com)

Instructions: Please see the Art Every Day Month Instructions post if you have any confusion about how to post your link or how to sign up.

Twitter: Are you participating in AEDM and you're on Twitter too? I'm on there as @leah_art and I've been using the hashtag #aedm to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. I also started a Twitter list for AEDM which can help you easily find Twitter folks who are participating. If you're not on the Twitter list yet and would like to be, send me a DM (Direct Message on Twitter.)

Oops! Mine was actually for Nov. 6th. Sorry! I am just so sleepy.

Hurray, 7 days! I’ve been really enjoying the process and feel contentment during my work time. Lots of ideas popping up just before bed too. I’m glad I jumped in despite my annual ambivalence. I’m enjoying your and other people’s work too.

This has been a great week! Days seem to have more sparkle when there is time set aside for creative expression. Thanks for showing us how important it really is.

My kool-aid dyed handspun slouchy hat is getting bigger, and I LOVE it.

I appreciate the encouragement of everyone in the group. Thanks! Your creativity motivates me.

I was also trying to squeeze my post for Friday, since it’s still the 6th for another 7 mins here:) But hey no problem. If you like to visit my blog, I just posted a portrait made with pencil. Thanks!

This is my first day and having the daily prompt to create is great!

Well, I have been intentionally creative for the entire first week and am looking forward to the next three.

xoxo

thank you Leah…it has been a wonderful creative week here, I have enjoyed visiting a few artists when I can and posting each day on my blog…

I can not even begin to express how much the creativity has inspired me. My time in the studio has been so much more productive. Thank you to everyone who is sharing their work.

Since I have to be somewhere at noon today I probably would have procrastinated the morning away, instead I went to my studio and worked on an ongoing project.

Dear Leah,
I have not had the opportunity to post up anything creative latetly as I have been tired due to work. Today I posted up some pictures I have been capturing in the week commencing 2nd of November in a new locality so they make up for creative every day considering I have been capturing them within lunch breaks at each day of the week.
I have made a point of standing tall and looking up around this area too. :)
Kind Regards

Finished a piece nearly a year in the making today. More work ahead, but this piece was definitely the most satisfying in quite a while.

It was a great week and though I was so busy, I managed to do something creative every day. The opening of my show was great excitement (and a few sales so far) and the art will be hanging there for the month of November so with that behind me, I do feel that I’ll be able to get back to my art with a clearer mind!! For today, my creative “project” is to make a nice dinner ‘cuz honestly that’s all I have energy left for…=) Great work all you creative gals. I’ve really been enjoying reading your posts and especially visiting your sites!! You are all awesome.

7 for 7. This project is a great motivator! THANK YOU, Leah. Onward!

what a great week! everyone’s work has been inspiring and fun to look at! Can’t week for week 2.

Thanks to Barbara Martin’s Reptitude http://reptitude.com/
for a very productive creativity prompt, and a surprisingly efficient crossover.
Thanks to the Boy Scouts for the apples!

Turning football into art? A photojournalism entry will have to do for today’s entry. Now I need time to look at what everyone else has done.

Caught up with the posting today. Yesterday was just a crash day when I got home from work.

Upside–I am now doubly inspired to create my comic
