Itty Bitty Kitty Art: Cat in a Bag

November 25th, 2009

Oh, today was long. But the service for my Grandma was very nice. My sister read a lovely eulogy. And it was great to see family I hadn't seen in a long time.

Tonight, the hubster and I and two of my siblings will be driving to New York for Thanksgiving. It's going to be pretty busy, but I will do my best to post some art while I'm away. Today, after a nap, I did this itty bitty kitty about another favorite cat hang out, the grocery bag. Cats in bags crack me up, so it was fun to paint this little 3"x3" canvas. I did the final touches with an actual cat (Sadie) in my lap. I wish we could take our kitties to New York with us, but they would not like the drive. :-)

I wish you all a beautiful Thanksgiving!!

Travel safely and enjoy your Thanksgiving time. Cats are so fun to watch. Ours always loved present time when she could play in sacks, boxes, wrapping paper, and ribbon. Thank you for hosting this challenge.

One of my cats is sleeping on my feet as I type this. The other is under the tree I just put up today. They both love getting under it and hiding out. It is too funny watching them. Love your itty bitty kitty paintings. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

Leah, every time I see one of your new kitties, I think, “”Wow! That’s my new favorite!” So now, of course, this one is my new favorite! Great colors and composition!

Sorry for you loss and hope you find some peace in the holiday season.
