Creative Every Day Challenge Check-In: December 21 – 27

December 21st, 2009

Ced2009Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!

This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.

Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 12/21/09 - 12/27/09.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.

Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here. The 2010 Creative Every Day Challenge is starting up soon! Find out more and fill out the sign-up form here to join in!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for December is recycle. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the inspiration theme here.

Happy Creating!

Do something. If it doesn't work, do something else. No idea is too crazy. ~Jim Hightower

Still plugging away at the 12 tags of Christmas. Created an “extra” tag featuring my son 14+ years ago as an angel in the school play *smiles*. Wow time flies! That’s why we have to be creative every single day right? RIGHT

This is my first time participating in the Creative Every Day Challenge. I’ve determined to jump in with both feet in the year 2010 so this is just a warm up to next year! This is such a fun challenge! I’m looking forward to being inspired by all the various participants.

My latest creative “recycling” was to update and post a poem I wrote years ago. A little Christmas levity…

my contribution was posted on http://www.landfillart.org this weekend. 1041 hubcaps were rescued from a landfill and sent to artists around the world to be turned into art. it’s really fun to see the creativity that this challenge inspired! happy holidays all-

this week – lots of knitting and writing. after christmas there is a huge sale at my favourite art supply store, ao i am looking forward to stocking up on goodies this weekend…

Happy Solstice! I’ve been super busy, focusing on the holidays this week. Such fun!

I am very excited to be part of this challenge. Just doing this for November had a great impact, I am looking forward to the new year.

I’m so happy you’re going to keep the challenge going in the new year, Leah. I’ve really enjoyed meeting new people through your site, and keeping up on what others are busy working on. Thanks for a wonderful 2009, and here’s to 2010!! Happy holidays to you and yours.

xoxo

Hello Leah and everyone, I’m a bit later than usual this week but have a few recycling projects to show you. Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas,
Janice. x

I’ve been working on a little set of photos of my day the other day at Branson, Missouri in Silver Dollar City. Besides some views of the lights, I have created a couple of greeting card type images to send to friends. This is the latest one of them….something a little different and a little artsy….oh wait, that’s the idea of CED, right? Be more creative….it’s working for me already! :)

I’ve really enjoyed peeking in at all the creative posts and really look forward to the New Year when the Creative Every Day Challenge will help me to focus and be more deliberate! Thanks, Leah!

About 95% of everything I make comes from recycled materials, most of which are discarded by others. So this theme really speaks to me.

I look forward to 2010 and being more active in the CED Challenges. I simply didn’t understand how it worked until recently. Thanks for being patient with me Leah and for having great challenges.

I’ve been cleaning in my computer this week! Deleting old pictures that were not any good, becoming a bit more organized, that sort of thing. Anyway I came across a bunch of pictures I had taken of this old tree behind our house on the farm, that we had to take down this year. In nearly every season, with lots of drama in the sky, etc…and I took them as my recycle project, posted them and made a set! The tree lives forever now. :)
