Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 15

November 15th, 2010

aedmlogored

Today is the 15th day of Art Every Day Month. We're half-way through. Congratulations!! Remember to focus on all that you've done this month instead of what you haven't done. I'm incredibly inspired by your creations and I hope you've been inspired as well, both by yourself and the work you've seen by others.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

To be an artist is not to wait for others to define us, but to define ourselves, claim our lives… -Jan Phillips

UPDATE: This morning, Mr. Linky was down for maintenance, so some folks left their links in the comments. If you don't see the widget when you're here, you can leave your link in the comments too. Thanks!

I can’t believe the month is half over already. Yikes!

It’s amazing how time flies! I’m gearing up for Thanksgiving already, and thinking about Christmas. I’m enjoying AEDM so much though. It’s a little haven of fun for me in the midst of the preparations.

this is a big day for my creatively – i finally got my paper doll portraits ready to go :) which i have been wanting to do for over a year. so – yah!

It is amazing that the month is half over. Spent the last few days creating and truly enjoying it.

CATCHING UP!!

I’ve been out of the country for a couple of days, not being able to post but being very creative. Come say hello and tell me you didn’t forget about me ;-) !

Plus, I’m preparing a surprise for you all. I’m working on it and thinking of saving it till the last day… And I’m so excited! It’s something I never did before…

Leah, I LOVE your “out of the woods”-painting. She feels like a guiding light in these intense days of creating and self-discovery… Thank you so much!

I am catching up on a few days of words. Sigh. I am in the mid-month slump. Somedays have no words but Bah.

Oh – technical difficulties! No fun!

1/2 way through Art Every Day Month and things are starting to crack open and sing. Thanks, Leah, for creating a space where I can rediscover how showing up makes a place for things to come through.

Mr Winky is on the blinky, eh? Silly Mr Winky!
Here is my linky then for AEDM 15

This has been a busy month so far. Im really grateful for AEDM and at least one area where I actually have some focus! :)

Sorry to hear Mr. Winky is wonky :) . Here’s a link to my creativity today.

Oh Dear…might have to open up a can of whoop a** on Mr Winky. How dare he? ;o)

I was prolific this weekend which was tons of fun. Unforch, I’m not quite ready to cut the cord yet. But soon! This month really is flying by. Its fun to be so immersed in all of it.

Mari

I can’t believe we’re halfway there, wowza!

Still working on Shelby. I’m really loving the weird angle of this painting. It’s not as hard to do as I thought, at first.

Loving this, so much. Even/especially the “making space” part of today!

This is wonderful, Leah! I am so excited to join in the fun.

I made it! Enjoy Life, even in its cracked state. That’s how the light gets in.

Drew a mandala in a new way – with lacy lines – a super cool discovery! http://daisyyellow.squarespace.com/vividlife/create-violet-dreams.html.

Happy Day 15! Today, I blogged about a great creative experience I had yesterday.

i painted a mailbox!

Well, I knew it was going to happen. My conputer is on the fritz and I am ordering a new part so I may miss some days. :-(

I am using my stand by computer. I have a choice of installing and updating for the rest of the day or calling it quits and just making art. Hmmmm. ;-)

Day 15, and I have joined up. Glad I could get a moment to blog about it. thanks for hosting this great “event”!

Today was a day of celebration: my 100th blog post; my health being well enough that at the half way point through aedm2010 I’ve posted every day; my daughter’s 9th Birthday.

Hope you’ve had plenty to celebrate on day 15.

Kat :-)

I double posted today. I have been creating, but apparently lost count! There are two crochet items today.

Looks like Mr. Linky’s back on track!
Loving the colours in ‘thought clouds’, Leah :)

1/2 through the month and I am already getting into a much better routine of creating SOMETHING everyday. Today I went for just a simple process to take me to

That Happy Place

Congratulations to everyone for sticking with the creative process and making it this far!

Jodi

almost didn’t make it today. it was such a long day but somehow i manage to squeeze out a little drawing in the end. very sleepy now. hugs everyone!

So fun to have discovered this challenge….I really needed a nudge like this to get back into the actually creating something mode and not just getting lost in looking at others creativity! LOL It is so easy to do that and not stop and make my own.

I’ve been re-visiting Women Who Run with the Wolves, by Dr Clarissa Estola Pinkes, and feeling nicely fired up! Coincidentally I noticed the phrase “Howl Often!” on a charm on a lovely bracelet (whihc left me drooling, lol) by Tammy Vitale. Synchronicity because she e-mailed me to let me know it was a phrase from the book (thanks, Tammy). So I just did myself a small piece of artwork to hang in from of my workspace so I do remember not only to howl often, but long and loud too. Ooowwwooooo!

Parking my Day 16 link here until Mr Linky arrives. :)

I almost gave up yesterday (nothing seemed to work out) and hubbie made me sit and work. :D He even did the dinner dishes so I could actually finish the piece. *heart*

I’m not caught up in posting yet but my link above shows days 13 and 14. This is fun!

Link is to flickr post for 11/15, Luminous.
