Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 24

November 24th, 2010

aedmlogored

Welcome to day 24 of Art Every Day Month. Again, I apologize for all the technical snafus yesterday. I'm hopeful that everything will be working great for the rest of the month!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

After missing everyone dreadfully today I can’t wait to hop on tomorrow morning and see what everyone is up to!

I didn’t do much today, just a little doodle :-)

@B
I miss everyone’s art too. Going to spend time browsing all the links tonight :-)

I missed seeing everybody’s art too, but I am not sure I have time to catch up!

I saw a beautiful sunset on the way home yesterday, and got some decent photos. I played around with one of the pics, and I ended up liking all of them.

I suspect that everyone is using their creativity to prepare for the big holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to all you creative lovlies!

day 24! I’ve been so busy I feel like I’m not doing as well at this as I’d like. But I’m almost finished with my last minute freelance curriculum plan, so maybe I can catch up.

day 24 already! and all i’ve done really is a daily doodle- but it’s still creating! hope to be up & running to make art in my bew studio this weekend-

Even though I haven’t been following along daily, I have been making some positive changes this month. I got my piano tuned (finally), and I’ve recruited one of my writing friends to be my writing buddy. We touch base every day to see where we are in our process. It’s good support.

I also started a fiction story, which something different for me. I usually only write non-fiction. We’ll see what comes of it…

Happy Thanksgiving, my fellow creatives. :)

I am posting my art from Day 22 since I did not do art yesterday…I took a break. I could not get this art to post when the site was down so it is here if anyone wants to check it out. I hope to accomplish something art related tonight. My brain was just fried from school, and I needed a break.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Woohoo! Only 6 more days! Whatever will I do when it’s all done? go back to 3 days a week? Participate more in CED? So many possibilities. Such energy has been generated! 5 New lines (or is it 6?) which is awesome – most I’ve started new in YEARS!!!! Thanks Leah. You are WAY high on my list of people and things to be grateful for (but of course I see you every day multiple times in my hallway – so you are always on my mind. Just like my girlfriend who I haven’t seen in almost 25 years, with whom I am in sporadic touch but whose spider plant I have that always makes me think of her!). I love these connections.

Speaking of snafus, mine is over. :-D

I haven’t been here in a week. :-( I finally got my computer working. Everything is back up and running.

I have still been making art every day but I haven’t been able to post it or look at anyone else’s art. And I am playing catch-up now with backlogged email and other stuff. My whole life is on my computer.

I hope to be posting again soon, and look forward to Creative Every Day 2011.

Christmas Card tutorial today. Will probably make some more art later as well!

Leah,
I am so enjoying your amazingly beautiful creations over these past few weeks. I’m sorry that I haven’t had time to post much. I’ve been so busy. These ladies you have created are so lovely. And thanks for sharing that glass bead gel technique. Can’t wait to try it.

Happy Thanksgiving! And remember…you are eating for two. On Thanksgiving, I eat for three (me, myself and I). :-)

[...] around the heads of the people I was with. That’s the image I played with today’s Art Every Day Month [...]

I missed posting yesterday so this is just a little snapshot of one of my new paintings that combines a bit of graffiti with doodles…totally fun :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Check out today’s creative effort. Now this is not EVERYDAY art … this is really special

I feel lazy about painting today, so instead I played with a couple images in Photoshop. Birds! Lots and LOTS of birds!

Staying present… holidays have a tendency to fill me with sadness as much as happiness.

Today I felt creatively stuck & sluggish. Probably came from lack of time & energy. But I did in the end manage to create & have posted about it on my blog.

Hope you’ve all had a good day 24!

Kat :-)

oop! didn’t mean to put myself in twice. I thought I had already done it, but didn’t see my link as I went through, so did it again, and up it pops with two links to me! It’s time for a break:)

A mandala in black gellyroll pen for today. http://daisyyellow.squarespace.com/vividlife/bewitched-mandala.html. Thinking about all the stuff I’ll be cooking tomorrow!!!
