Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 25

November 25th, 2010

Welcome the 25th day of Art Every Day Month. For those of you in the U.S., I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving Holiday! My sister-in-law mentioned a plan to eat her weight in mashed potatoes. I may join her. :-)

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: instead of my main blog page: This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

Had a couple of lousy nights which always dries up any creative instinct, but I’ve just finished creating a nice little Fire Goddess mandala which has turned out to be my favourite of the month. And for those of you who need a smile on their face, I’ve also uploaded a cartoon from a guy called Leunig who does very gentle, whimsical work:
Hope you all enjoy it. xx

So glad I started blogging before November had come and gone. Though I’m only in for the last week of the challenge it has already had a positive impact on me :)

I have had such an up and down last couple weeks, with my art and life in general. I might have ditched the art completely if it weren’t for Art Every Day Month. Thanks for inspiring me!

Today’s post is a little landscape inspired by a recent trip to the Faroe Islands.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

I’ve been on the road a lot the last several days, but last night I spent a good 90 minutes playing with art supplies. One lovely character named “Miss Mooo” emerged in a collage. She makes me chuckle :)

All I have had time for in thepast few days was some sketching but nothing that I am inclined to post. Right now I am off to stuff the turkey and get him roasting. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

seems it’s all about doodles this month- which is a good habit to get into anyway, i think. i’ve come up with some ideas that may go farther. happy thanksgiving to those who celebrate the day!

Happy Thanksgiving, Leah, for whom I am greatly thankful! May you and yours eat all the mashed potatoes your heart desires (after all, you especially are eating for two!)

Happy Thanksgiving! I feel so much gratitude these days, for the gifts and the lessons I’ve been given in life. Exploring my creativity and committing to that exploration has been one of the biggest gifts. So today I am grateful for this community and for Leah!

Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving!
Special blessings to you and your family, Leah!!

Wishing everyone a happy thanksgiving, holiday season and weekend :) I’m happy to be participating with AEDM and going strong!

Happy Holidays Everyone–I hope you and yours enjoys a perfect day surrounded by love :)

Happy Thanksgiving! I am so thankful to you all for your inspiration and company!

And Leah – enjoy eating all that mash. At least you can blame your expanded tummy on the baby. Lol. Enjoy & Happy Thanksgiving to you & yours.

Hi Leah and all the wonderful creative artists! Happy Thanksgiving, or just happy day where ever you are! Thanks for sharing your creative spirits!

I wrote a somber poem with a hopeful end. May it be so.

Happy Thanksgiving to my creative friends across the border :) . I’m mainly crocheting today, so I thought I create a photopainting of my hands at play.
Stay inspired!

My post is above, Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
