Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 30

November 30th, 2010

aedmlogored

Welcome the 30th day of Art Every Day Month. You made it! Yay! Whether or not you created something every day this month, be sure to celebrate all you have accomplished and learned this month. Celebrate new connections, discoveries, and creative energy. Celebrate taking a risk.

I feel so grateful to have been able to create this month with such an amazing group of artists. You have inspired me and countless others through joining in, sharing your work, and sharing encouraging words. Thank you for being a part of this!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning. -Winston Churchill

p.s. Tomorrow I go back to the remainder of the Creative Every Day Challenge. The theme for December will be the final element we haven't played with yet, Air. I'll make a post about the theme tomorrow.

I hope this is only the end of my beginning. It has been wonderful to find new friends, and share in art, creativity, and life! I plan on continuing to get around to more blogs, and continuing to post on both of mine.
Today’s post goes with my theme of circles, but this one has carners!

carners=corners! :)

I’m winding up with a small painting which I did after reading about the release of the Wikileaks diplomatic posts, and got pissed off with government reaction. I actually managed to whack my finger in a doorjamb and it has brought my artwork to a bit of a grinding halt. But I’m very grateful for this month because I’ve found it inspirational and it’s helped me sort out my priorities, get focused and learn to look after myself and my creativity. Thanks, Leah!

Well, I managed to make it part way through the month lol but I’ve finished up the month with a project I’d been putting of for a while – finally designing myself a little mousey for my blog :)

What a month! Thank you so much for creating this for us Leah. It has been such a wonderful exercise in creativity. I did manage it every day and never was it a chore which is wonderful. I learnt quite a bit too. I’ve written about it today on my blog in more detail, but suffice it to say it has been a month of experimentation, learning and so much fun!! Thanks again :) . Hope to visit everyone today at some point, I’ve made so many new friends through this. It’s fab!

I don’t have anything to share today. Just want to drop by and say thank you to everyone here. I have been blogging on and off since year 2000 but this month is going to be the beginning of my blogging on a regular basis!

I will go on visiting everyone’s blog here. You all inspire me.

Thanks everyone, especially you, Leah :-D

I haven’t posted everyday but I am so happy that I was able to post quite a few days, do a lot of creative work this month and that I feel like I am back on track. Really enjoyed visiting all the sites of such creative folks too. Hope everyone will keep up the momentum and have a productive winter! What better time to hunker down with our stash of art materials, whatever form our art takes! Thanks to everyone for sharing their talents….

This has proabably been the fastest month ever. I can’t believe its over. I did not create as much as I wanted to but then again my expectations are often wonky. So Im happy to say that I created. Period.

Thanks Leah. I’ve already got my brain working on “air” :o )

Whew! I did it. Art! Every.Single.Day. Most days lots of art. New energy. Sea Netteles. Taliswomen. New shapes and sizes for ceramic focals. Coloring book pages. Insight. Play. Lots and lots (and lots and lots) of play! I think this month may just be one of those forks in the road – and I took the fork of commitment and steadiness (steadiness is so not my norm). Thank you Leah. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You have created something truly amazing here. There simply aren’t words. So I’ll send hugs and kisses instead. xoxoxoxoxoxo

It’s really been fabulous participating – thank you Leah for holding AEDM!

Thank you so much for hosting this, Leah! It’s been fun! I didn’t post every day, but I played every day. I’m sharing the last two weeks worth of fun today. I have been so inspired by what the other members, including you, have shared. It looks like we all enjoyed this month creatively. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself with us not just this month, but throughout the year. :)

Thank you, Leah. I just posted my last post for the CEDM challenge and then came to link, found the quote from Churchhill and smiled for my blog post today is also about new beginnings instead of ends.

Here is to you, Leah. You made a big difference in my life this month and this year.
Thank you with lots of love, xx Ines

I made it! 30 days of Art EVERY Day!! 30 days of creating, posting and connecting with artists who are now new & some old friends.
Thank you!!! You´ve created a wonderful community and inspired many to make art. Even some that didn´t quite made it to the blogging world like two local friends of mine. :)

AEDM did for me just as i hoped – I wanted to get back to the everyday spontaneity of creating instead of dwelling for weeks on one piece. so happy i stuck with it and i’m bummed that it’s over! thank you leah!

Thank you Leah for this wonderful month, what an amazing group you’ve brought together!

Thank you Leah for hosting this wonderful month of creativity! And, congrats to all for the wonderful work!

Wow, I can’t beleive it’s over! It went too quick. Thanks so much, it’s been fun:)

Thank you Leah for hosting this wonderful project. I have enjoyed it very much, it has prompted me to rediscover the joys of the paintbrush :)

I had a lot of fun with AEDM. I did not post of it, because it was mainly trying out new things. But these things were already in my head for a long time. Thank you Leah!

For me it has been Art Every Day for half a Month :-) And it was great to be in touch with my creativity all the time. But the posting-every-day-part was hard and after a while took in the place of self-care every day :-)

And oh, Every Single Day I regretted not being able to visit all of your blogs and leave comments…

Lots of love and gratitude to you all and especially to you Leah, thank you for being so nice and creating space to breathe!!

Phew! What a month. Writing, blogging, painting, drawing, creating, cooking, crafting. WHEW! I am exhausted, but it’s good.

Now I’m gearing up for December and all those gifts and crafts I want to make. I’m doing one a day, or so I hope to, in December, until Christmas. If you want to join in a crafty-creative Christmas challenge, check out my link, and tell me where you’ll be creating and I’ll link to you.

I’ll add my thanks to those of everyone else, Leah! I love the surge of energy this challenge brings and, even though I’ve been under the weather for the last few days, I’ve enjoyed the whole experience. I hope you’ll look at my blog post today to read more about how much I appreciate your hosting of this event.
Many good wishes to you, Leah, and all fellow participants!
xoxo

This last day of aedm2010 has been productive and reflective. On my blog I talk about how much I’ve enjoyed and benefited from this challenge. I write about endings, beginnings and change.

THANK YOU so much everyone who has been so supportive and inspiring. I feel blessed having connected with so many amazing creative people! And THANK YOU Leah for organising such a fantastic month!

I haven’t been able to create any art the last couple of days, but I have been so grateful for the AEDM challenge! Thank you, Leah!

I just want to say Thank you to Leah and all the amazing artists who have participated in this (and yes, I did mean you, you are an amazing artist) challenge.

I know that several folks felt they did not do as much as they wanted or it wasn’t anything major. Coming, trying and sharing is what it is all about. I am looking forward to be able to visit people blogs and have the time to comment more. I looked and was inspired, this community rocks.
Thank you again Leah.

I’m determined not to stop this process, but continue on everyday, in anyway possible! I’ve been so inspired by everyone and the process in general, I’m looking forward to what creative goodness comes in the New Year through forging the routines we’ve begun to really cement with this challenge!

Here’s my last post of the month–a journal page and some reflection:

Can’t Sleep

Leah–I hope you know we treasure you for all your work and inspiration during not only this month but all year long! Congratulations to you and your good family news :)

Thank you Leah for leading us on this creative journey all month!

[...] is the final day for Art Every Day Month, although for me it was more like Art Every Couple Of Days [...]

Thank you, Leah!! It was a fun, inspiring month!

I am ending it with a painting called either “Neener Neener” or “Sassy:”. Not sure which title I’ll pick yet. I’m leaning towards the first one.

What a month it has been! I did every single day – whoopee! Thanks for giving us this challenge and opportunity to “tune up” our creative juices. All the participants have so much to offer.

Slinking back in for the last day :-) Thank you for organising AEDM. I have so much fun, even if I don’t manage to post very often. And I’m slowly getting more confidence with my art. Baby steps.
It’s so inspiring seeing everyone’s work, and all the different styles and techniques.
What a wonderful month!

This month went by so fast….it was a lot of fun though. I really enjoyed looking at everyone’s blogs and found some new people to follow!!

Leah, thank you so much for hosting AEDM. It has been wonderful. I’ve so enjoyed meeting everyone and being inspired by what you’ve been doing. Everyone has been so kind and encouraging as well as inspiring!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Thank you for hosting AEDM, Leah. It has been such a wonderful journey. As I mentioned on my blog posting today, I tried and made new things; re-visited activities and creative hobbies I use to enjoy but had not made time for due to other responsibilities; and continued doing the creative things I do every day.

Every day I met the challenge of doing something creative. Although I missed a couple of days of blogging (and chose to group some days together), I feel like my blog represents in words and pictures what I did during AEDM.

I’m joining in way too late today but I couldn’t miss the last day! Thanks so much for the amazing experience Leah.

Thank you so much, Leah, for hosting this. I published my book in a video for ease of seeing 30 paintings. Amazing experience.
