Art Every Day Month: Day 21

November 21st, 2010

aedmlogored

Welcome to day 21 of Art Every Day Month. Be sure to check in on some of the amazing creating happening. Visit some old favorites and some people you don't know and say hello!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, for day one I would link to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I've been using the hashtag #aedm2010 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

The goal of life is rapture. Art is the way we experience it. Art is the transforming experience. - Joseph Campbell

I had a couple of days off from the AEDM project to give myself a break and allow new ideas to flow. This painting is working with Full Moon energy and stuff I want to release, so I’m creating space for new creative ideas to turn up.

finding this much more challenging this year, but that’s OK, because i am making myself look for places to make art & being more generous with myself in what i allow as art…..beautiful walk in the snow this morning, more doodles this eve-

2/3s through! wow – time flies. Loving all the wonderful stuff I’m making (dozens of thimble size sea nettle tops yesterday for xmas ornament or sun catchers) as a result of making space for creativity. Beading nettles and taliswomen is now my default instead of Bedazzled on FaceBook. Grand default change! (and yes i still play but not as much as before…too busy making space for creating)

I missed posting yesterday but I was(have been) busy in the studio all weekend. It’s fun seeing pieces evolve and feed off of one another. My post today is little about that type of process:

Hope everyone has a relaxing and creative Sunday :)

Did a few sketches and a little color planning to see what I will do for a design on my auction table. I want to see what combinations of color will work for the design I have decided to do.

Not that much more to go, wowza!

For the first time this month I didn’t post yesterday because I was feeling poorly. But I did do a wordy doodle and so after painting today I’ve just posted days 20 & 21 on my blog.

Hope you’re all having a good weekend.

Hi Leah,

I just designed a cute mini dream journal and posted it onto my blog today. It is a free download for everyone to enjoy!

http://collagediva.typepad.com/collagediva/2010/11/dreamjournal.html

made a collaged city from today’s newspaper and rolls of colored crepe tape!

This is from my other blog. I haven’t quite figured out how to post on blogspot from my phone.

I had so much fun today that I did not want to stop making art…but I ran out of room to let things dry!

I am so impressed with the creativity this year.
WOW!
Thank you everyone for sharing. I wish I had time to comment on everyone’s work every day. It is all so wonderful.

Close up shots of the Conan O’Brien painting I finished yesterday. I’m so happy I put the extra time into this painting. It was worth it.

Yes, I double posted. I had to add glasses to my self-portrait. My daughter reminded me…

Thanks Leah and the AEDM family for all of the creative energy. Loved the quote for today. I decided to join the AEDM 2010 today. I really needed the AEDM energy to transform my creative spirit. What a day! I feel everyone’s energy too. I posted my day #1 experience on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/anandaleeke/sets/72157625317371315/

I also included some of my artwork photos on the AEDM Flickr group. Looking forward to celebrating AEDM during the next 8 days.

Sending you all positive vibes of Peace, Gratitude, Creativity, Love, Light, and Joy,

Ananda

Made it in one minute before midnight. Had fun playing with paper, envelopes, markers, and acrylic. This has a bit of a modernized geisha feel. Hope you all are doing well with your art making.

i made an autobiographic illustrated narrative of a funny story from my childhood. i couldn’t get on aedm last night and i missed you guys!
