Creative Every Day Check-In: May 30 – June 5

May 30th, 2011

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the  2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 5/30/11 - 6/5/11.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag  #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for May is Big.You can read more about the theme and some ideas to get you started here. The (totally optional) theme for June is Metamorphosis, which you can read more about here.

Happy Creating!

Great trip to the giant art supply store this weekend. Looking forward to using my new supplies today!

This week’s post is a reflection on learning to listen to my own inner messages and wisdom – inspired by a Tarot reading in an antique store.

I love visitng this bog,, its great stuff all in one spot!

Summer is coming and I shall be spending more days on the beach, reading, painting, and watching the heron’s fish in the shallows. Metamorphosis – what an interesting theme. Hum. I wonder?

Good Morning! I just realized today that I’m doing something. hehe

A while ago, I had issues using the monthly prompts. My insides kvetched at not being spontaneous. Another part of my insides then said, oh do it this way, you just can’t ’cause you lack talent. The rest of me slapped that part, removed the Creative Every Day 2011 image from my fun things to do list, and simply created. In fact, by habit or by design, I specifically chose to use the Creative Every Day 2011 tag in some of my posts! I’ve decided that what I have to offer, that I daily create is enough! :) And that I wish to share it here. If this bothers anyone for any reason, I’m haven’t been much of a joiner and I don’t have to be one now, and I can stop using the tag and not post here. I like using this as a place to share my creativity and to get to see creative persons outside of my circle of contacts. There have been so many things posted since I last commented here, that I’ll only provide the link for my page,Elisa’s Spot, and in the future use the time specific postings by week.

Waves till next time!

Elisa, what you create is absolutely enough!! The themes are always completely optional!

I crocheted another blanket for charity. It has really soft edges that I hope the recipient will love.

I have had several stressful situations in my life as of late, and being able to continue to create is one of my greatest gifts, and therapy. I love being able to pass it on…

Ah, what a beautiful Memorial Day weekend it has been. Let’s all give thanks to all those who have served our country and especially those who never made it back home. Have a great week everyone.

It’s all about metamorphosis this month: from rushing through to slowing down, from loosing myself to locating myself daily. I LOVE metamorphoses…

My creative machine is getting oiled. xoxo Terah

I posted about a mini album I am making related to Faded Memories and Inspirations… I will think about this months theme and see if I can make something related :)

Interesting week with lots of gardening. Played around with pen and ink and digital composition and colour, not sure which one I like best. Sometimes look at things too long.:)

So much happiness to be posting. I love making beauty. The foliage is so lush from all of our rain. Makes the forest sing!

Good Morning! I’ve added a new feature to my blog. Posts called Midsummer Evenings. Last night was first friday here and the post already morphed in its second evening into more of an article to go along with the Midsummer Evenings photography. I like to talk with the human subjects before and during shooting them and the story kept growing! Here is the link: Midsummer Evenings–June First Friday in Downtown Williamsport, PA

Today is One Shot Sunday Picture Prompt Challenge Day! I posted Noticing to go with the image provided by photographer Rob Hanson.
