Creative Every Day Check-In: June 27 – July 3
June 28th, 2011
So sorry for the delay this week! I've got a sick baby at home and hadn't noticed that the check-in wasn't up! The theme for July will be posted tomorrow, Wednesday, the 29th.
This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.
Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the 2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!
Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 6/27/11 - 7/3/11.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for June is Metamorphosis, which you can read more about and get ideas for here. July's theme will be posted on Wednesday!
Happy Creating!

No need to apologize for lateness, Leah! We’re thankful that you continue to inspire us to be creative every day, even amongst the distractions.
This week I’m playing around with attributes in portraits. I invite all of you to come answer the question in my latest blog post: what object would you want beside you in a portrait?

Sending baby Annabelle huge get well love & hugs. And extra hugs for you too cause I know how tiring (physically & emotionally) it is when our babes are poorly. Hope she’s better soon.

PS I accidentally signed in to last week’s yesterday which means I’m on last week’s sign in twice – sorry about that!

This week’s reflection is on the need for a “Sacred Pause” -in the midst of so much change.
Healing thoughts for Annabelle.

Oh poor sweet Annabelle, sending healing thoughts her way and I hope she recovers quickly. No need for apologies
I am having an internal metamorphosis this month but I have yet to be able to share it with the world. Too many questions unanswered right now. But hopefully soon. Instead I posted a new painting and some pictures from our summer vacation to enjoy.

I actually FINISHED (as in FILLED UP!) my prayer & poetry journal this week — in just a year! (That’s truly a record for me!!!!:) I also modified the household journal I created a couple of months ago (and posted about on my blog) to make it a bit more family friendly and usable. Thank you for your continued inspiration to be creative every day, Leah! Praying for you and little Annabelle!

Hope Annabelle is feeling better! I’m so excited – I am almost done with my first really big canvas. You can see a picture on my website. Just detailing left to do. Yay! Oh, and I LOVE the color Blue. Look out July!

I made some granny squares out of scrap yarn. I haven’t figured out their metamorphosis yet.
