Creative Every Day Check-In: October 17 – 23
October 17th, 2011
This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.
Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the 2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!
Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/17/11 - 10/23/11.
The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.
You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!
Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is Autumn, which you can read more about and get ideas for here.
Happy Creating!
My sorrow, when she's here with me, thinks these dark days of autumn rain are beautiful as days can be; she loves the bare, the withered tree; she walks the sodden pasture lane. ~Robert Frost

I love the colors of Autumn! I created a Ruffled Yarn Wreath for my front door, and on my blog I included the pattern I made up as a went along.

I’ve been away! From the computer. And also my creativity. But I seem to be back now, with a painting for my brother which he asked me to do for his birthday. It’s not finished yet but it is at least STARTED…

I have had an epiphany that I don’t need someone else to finish my projects for me.

Fall is in the air, planting bulbs like a squirrel. Not sure I’ll be able to remember where I planted them. Hope it will all be beautiful come spring

Autumnal creative also inspires the foodie in me. So, I have shared a family recipe that is traditional for us to start cooking in the fall and through the winter for Breakfast. Its a pan-fried apple recipe. The recipe I give isn’t perfectly measured out since it is one of those family recipes that has been handed down by doing it rather than a recipe card. So, play with it and tweak it and make it your family recipe de jour for fall! Cheers

Autumn is starting to get cold here in the UK which means we’re lighting our wood burners some evenings and will soon be having bonfire parties. This inspired me to make this week’s TIC TOCC fire based and on my blog I wrote a bit of fire flash fiction.
Wishing you all a happy & creative week!
Xx
