Creative Every Day Check-In: October 24 – 31

October 24th, 2011

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

This week's check-in goes for one extra day (through the 31st), because on the 1st of November, I'll be focusing on Art Every Day Month here, which includes a daily check-in. Creative Every Day Challenge members who are not participating in Art Every Day Month, can still continue to check-in weekly in any of the daily AEDM check-in posts.

The check-ins will become weekly again in December. If you'd like to join in Art Every Day Month in November, you can read all about it here! And then sign up here!

Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the  2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/24/11 - 10/31/11.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag  #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is Autumn, which you can read more about and get ideas for here. Next month is all about Art Every Day Month!

Happy Creating!

Autumn burned brightly, a running flame through the mountains, a torch flung to the trees. ~Faith Baldwin

Just signed up for ARt Every Day and cannot wait! So excited!

I finished my brother’s birthday painting ~ man that was a struggle! But it’s done now, so I can start something new… Wishing everyone a very happy and creative week. x

The most unexpected ‘autumn’ scene and image. Amidst the oranges and browns – a field of pink cosmos:

All my creative energy has been poured into journaling on my CaringBridge site this past whirlwind of a month. I’m throwing anonymity to the wind and inviting anyone who would like to travel even a bit of the way along our faith journey through cancer to visit us here:

I have my “Art to Go” vintage case with me in the hospital, so I’m hoping to get to some visual art during this round of chemo :) I hope, hope, hope I might even be able to participate in Art Every Day Month next month!

Blessings to all — you all inspire me! :)

Oh I have the most bright autumn post from the sea on Creative Potager today. We went for most delightful stroll yesterday and the weather is equally lovely again this morning. So I shall not dally and wish you the most pleasant creative week!

Much doodling, journaling, and planning this week.
Nothing really finished, but much going on.
I have to admit, when I went to put this weeks posts together, I thought…I didn’t think I did this much this week!

Happy last week of October everyone!

As October draws to a close I find myself re-organising & re-assessing everything. Oh and I did attempt an ACEO as part of my TIC TOCC 22.

Wishing you all a happy & creative week!

Kat :-) Xx

Fall has arrived a touch of frost last night. Want to try and paint the last of the dahlias! A challenge for myself.

Hey Leah — You inspire us! Can’t wait until Tuesday to see what this is all about. Thanks for being the sweetest hostess. Hope your Halloween brings creative ideas from the children who come to visit! Blessings Terri

Remembering the ancestors, as well as my own personal history, as I make my way through Colorado, Utah and Arizona on a family trip.

I just posted how I use molding paste on canvas. I don’t like painting on all those holes. lol

I’m enjoying the increased energy fall brings, and delving into many fun new projects.

Can’t wait to learn more about the Art Every Day project, Leah. Thanks as always.
