Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 16

November 16th, 2011

Welcome to day 16 of Art Every Day Month! Keep on creating. One foot in front of the other!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: instead of my main blog page: This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

Oh I’m first! That’s the first and probably the last time that’ll ever happen! Hope everyone is having a good week. I made some cards yesterday {and had a little rant about the holiday season~ I am so controversial ;) }. Happy Wednesday all. x

For today’s project, I continued to experiment with images that I took of found objects. This time I transferred the image and created an art card.

Today I started getting into the Christmas still-lifes. Painting pine branches is fun!

Trying a little ‘less’ today…hoping to get ‘more’!

I am continuing work on a color study – trying to come up with a personal palette!

So last night I got motivated and cleaned so I would have time in the morning to post. I still wish I had a maid.:)

Thanks for a great inspiration and linkup!

Can’t believe we are over the halfway mark already! Still enjoying it even though I’m feeling very lazy at the moment!

I painted a new abstract, which is waaay outside my usual zone. Cool!

Sorry, I forgot to comment this morning. Hope everyone is enjoying yet another day of creativity.

Looking forward to another day of creative effort!

This week, I’m working on “canvas.” My AEDM picture is at the bottom of my regular post. I was pleased with today’s.

Thank you for all the inspiration ladies! Still going strong creating art every day, but it has been a challenge. I’m present to my impatience for all my art to be good. The great thing about this process is that if I don’t like what I did that day, I have a chance to get up and do it again the next day.

Had a GREAT creating day yesterday, but today is full of other responsibilities! Hoping to get SOMETHING at least worked on later! Have great days fellow travelers!

[...] A quick bit of tag art this morning, because I wanted to have something I could show you guys for Day 16 of Art Every Day Month. [...]

Celebrating true love today…

[...] So after much fussing and sketchingI finally got a paper crane painting done for Art Every Day Month. [...]

Forgot to post mine yesterday, oh well! Remembered today!

might be revising this one yet….

I almost didn’t post today and wow, I am glad I talked myself back into it…

More watercoloring in the large moleskine journal ~ a wonderful break from the rest of the day!

Stitching trees today – thanks to everyone for sharing their creativity – Cheers!

Ooops! I forgot to link today!

I’ve been so inspired by all the work I’ve seen posted here; Thanks to everyone for sharing! Finally got my start today. A little late to the game, but I’m very excited. Thanks so much for hosting!

FINALLY caught back up!! Can’t believe I’ve made it this far in, to be honest, but glad that I did! Hope everyone is finding this month of value- I certainly am!

Well I’m not getting something finished everyday but I’m certainly producing more than I ever have! Thanks for the challenge and inspiration :)

A rip to the woods delayed my time in the studio, but I had an inspiration and did some sketching…

I’m so happy that there is a Creative Every Day, or I would be very sad that AEDM is more than half over. :-)

I can’t believe its day 16! more than halfway over! I finished a second page in my handmade journal. woohoo!

Fun stuff! I like negative space and did a quick sketch concentrating on just that. :)
