Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 2

November 2nd, 2011

aedmlogored

Today is day 2 of Art Every Day Month! Welcome to all the new folks and all those returning for another round of creative goodness. I hope your day is a beautifully creative one!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

My sleep schedule is all messed up with my hubby on nights ;) .
Stay inspired!

okay, I just found this. I just posted my link for 11/1/11

Day 2 is up :)

I’m back at work now so may not get chance to look at everybody’s entries, my loss :(

I got more done yesterday than I anticipated! Here’s hoping today will be equally art productive :)

Love it when I can fit my painting in early in the morning. Happy day 2, everybody.

I’m making flowers this week. The picture of my AEDM project for the day is at the end of my regular post. Such fun.

I am working on getting my business training site back up and running this week, but am working on sketches to inspire paintings and other artwork. My sketch of shoes I did last week has given me some ideas for a painting series.

I threw my back out, so I’m improvising here! I took some photos at a stable yesterday. Now
my AEDM project is to work on them little by little in photoshop each day. I was hoping to paint, but I like to paint standing up – not an option right now! haha. Hope I’m doing the technology part of all this right.

Just posted my day 2 piece. Don’t think I posted yesterday’s piece at the right place, but anyway. Hope you are all happily creating!!!

I’m finding it interesting to see how differently I can interpret ‘creative’ in my life, it feels like bringing a creative consciousness to activities I previously perceived as ‘uncreative’… a different way of looking at things =)

Getting here a day late…catching up! Thanks for the awesome linkup! Look forward to buzzing by everyone’s blogs to see what they’ve been creating!

My mind is buzzing with ideas for creating chaos in my art journal!

Day 2: doodled a farewell to the baristas who have kept me caffeinated for the last five years…

Hi Leah,

Is there a NEW 2011 AEDM flicker group??

The Flicker link on your blog goes to what was last posted 11 months ago.
Or do we have to check everyone’s blogs each day to see their art??

Thanks~ I’m new this year.

Yay for day two!

Whew! Got my post up!! We lost power for most of the day (it has been going in and out for the past five days – ugh!!! Bet you didn’t know that Italy was a 3rd world country!!!)

oops, I did my check in on the wrong day! :)

Yay for day 2!

Beautiful-Breeze. Is it a link in this post? I may have missed updating one. Here’s the correct link: http://www.flickr.com/groups/arteverydaymonth/

It is the same group as last years, so the discussion posts are old, but we’ve started adding new images to the group already, so you can add to it anytime!

I am so happy to be joining you this month. Thank you Leah you are always and inspiration. Much love and gratitude to you.

My darling dog, Pipsqueak, and I went on a walk in the warm Fall windy weather. She had some fun bounding through the leaves. She gives me a lot of joy.

[...] quite right. Today, I fixed it. Two inches off each leg. Ahh!!! With feet up, I post this entry for Art Every Day Month. It took a good deal longer than one day to make, but since I chopped off the legs today and can [...]

I’m feeling a little stuck today, but I did print and cut out the photo for my journal spread… just… not entirely sure how to put everything together the way I want to.

So very thankful for this challenge. Working on my art kept me distracted from sitting in the cold and dark.
It is such a wake up call to how much we take for granted.

Today I did a little drawing of you, Leah, as the Artist Fairy Godmother. It’s my little fun tribute to you and all that you do to inspire. :-)

I am so excited to be both writing and arting every day … :D #grateful

Happy to have completed another piece of fabric art! Love AEDM! I’m also enjoying visiting everyone’s blogs!!

This is my 2nd day’s art and I hope I am doing this right. I realise I may be doing it wrong but here’s the thing I’m focusing on:
I AM DOING IT!!!

You’re doing great, Currie! :-)

Day 2 was a mishmash of collage, art journalling, and Chinese ink painting. A little bit here and there.

OK here I am – Day 2:)) can’t wait to check out everyone’s work:)

I had a GREAT time visiting new blogs and meeting new people yesterday!!! This is the best thing in the world for me and I’m so blessed and grateful to be participating in this event! Today I did come collage and painting, and in between I was a domestic goddess getting things done around the home! I hope everyone has a creative day!
HuGGs!

Gathering momentum…

Day 2 and using another challenge to use as my art. I think I need to get on a schedule to make sure this happens every day.
