Day 13: Inkblot Horse Race

November 13th, 2011

Another busy day here. The hubster and I became Godparents to our nephew, Jude! Annabelle was such a great sport all day. All smiles for everyone. We were such proud parents.

Tonight, I'm wiped, so I turned again to my inkblots and did this drawing in my mini sketchbook.

Curious about inkblots? I did this video about the process. Enjoy!

very nice inkblot. it reminds me of Frida Kahlo’s journal. I painted today, too… but I’m slacking on blogging about it.

I very rarely watch videos but I watched yours because I have wondered about your inkblot paintings! Am looking forward to the rest of your video!

Now I am off to make cookies and paint some pages, though… lol… will try the inkblots when I see “the rest of the story”…..

Lovely drawing and thanks for the vid, am off to make ink blots. Can’t wait to see the rest, thanks for sharing :) x

LOVE the idea of a pre-prepared inkblot book for instant inspiration! Thank you so much for the video and for sharing!

Today’s piece is great–that gal has some attitude! :)

Congratulations on becoming godparents!
I love the inkblot idea and should try that soon. I like the pages you posted as well.

I love your ink blot video and art!!! I’ve been experimenting with inks for AEDM and I can’t wait to try this!!

Sounds like you are wiped out for a great reason – family! If you hadn’t said it was an ink blot, I never would have realized the horse was one!

Your ink blot pictures just get better and better..

Congratulations on becoming Godparents! I became an auntie once again three hours ago. :)
The white figure looks awesome on the dark background.

Thank you for the tutorial on ink blots. I love your ink blot paintings and have tried doing them. Mine didn’t turn out so well. Now I know that I overdid the ink! :) Off to try some more now that I’ve seen the tutorial! Can’t wait to see how you finish them up!

Thanks for the video, your inkblots are so fun!
