Creative Every Day Check-In: Dec 1 – 4

December 1st, 2011

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

This week's check-in is short to cover us until Monday's regular weekly check-in. Regular check-ins will resume next week! Sign-ups for the 2012 Challenge will open soon!

Join in the Challenge: Read all the details and sign up for the  2011 Creative Every Day Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/24/11 - 10/31/11.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag  #CED2011 to help others find your Creative Every Day tweets!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for December is Winter, which you can read more about and get ideas for here.

Happy Creating!

In the depth of winter, I finally learned that within me there lay an invincible summer. ~Albert Camus

Hi Leah
It is really nice that you have a December theme.
I have uploaded something for today.
Thank you for doing this, it is so much fun. Hope you are having a good day:)

Your work always inspires me, Leah! I love your latest painting!

Firing up the kiln and working on my pottery is the one thing that is truly keeping me warm right now! Thanks for your support Leah!

Glad to be joining the group this month. Looking forward to purposefully being creative every day. Thanks for the opportunity!

Sort of a Christmas-y Red Paint Horse Pillow. xoxo Terah

I suppose there’s no better way to celebrate winter than with the joy of that first snow!

Hi Leah
I am not sure if I have done the right thing..probably not, but I have put today’s entry for Dec 2nd in the same place as for yesterday’s links.
If you would like me to remove it, then I will. I was not sure what to do.
Please advise!

A little sad the AEDM is over, but committed to keeping up the process as much as possible. It really shifted my mindset when I was really busy. I kept asking myself, “Could this be considered art? How could I elevate what I am doing right now and make it art?” Wonderful way to start looking at the world! Thank you Leah!

Hello Leah- I’m back to having more time to participate with your wonderful place of joy and light : Creative Everyday . So good to be back ! My plan is to upload something for today. Blessings, Elizabeth
(Must say that baby girl of yours is simply delectible and delicious !)

Love the pictures of your little one. I do storytime at several libraries and really enjoy seeing the little ones growing up and sharing in their development and joy in discovering great books. Enjoy her first Christmas :)

I am working small, preparing sample submissions for Art-o-mat, and finishing ATCs for our Flygirls ATC Swap…
