Creative Every Day Check-In: April 30 – May 6

April 30th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 4/30/12 - 5/6/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for April is Language which you can read more about here. The (totally optional theme for May is One, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

A long break from the computer (nearly 3 weeks), but never from the creative life…
Zentangles have become a nearly daily exercise.

Thanks again for hosting this great event ~ love your art style ~ enjoy the week ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^

Happy Monday friends! This week’s post is about finding the courage to listen to our “heart song” – our truth, our calling – as the pathway to wholeness.

Good morning. We visited Norway on Darcy’s pstcard challenge last week. But I realized last week how important an art warm-up exercise can be and my link is to a post I wrote about that. Anyway, let’s hope it’s a wonderfuuly creative week for us all no matter what we do!

I finally get a language themed piece finished and on my blog. Scraping it in on the last day of April :-)

Wishing you all a happy & creative week!

Had a little vacation this week, so just a few creations.

Good morning everybody! Happy Monday! This weeks post is about finding your “look”, or style as an artists, and setting aside enough time to honor your creative gift! Thank you so much for hosting this site, I love reading about other artist’s journeys! Hope you all have a great week…

Happy Monday! Last week marked my 4 year blogiversary and to celebrate I’m having a little giveaway!

Mucho creativity going on around here – lots and lots of watercolor sketches this weekend between work on a custom painting order and 2 custom invitation orders. Many wishes for a wonderful week!

Busy working on artwork of Ker Church area for the Niagara HERE project and finally got chance to post some “in progress” images of the artwork I’m working on. Love to hear any comments on the work so far, and I’ll be adding more images as I complete and start other work. Love checking out the artwork that others are working on here – thanks, Leah! Have a creative week everyone! :-)

Language of flowers for the last of the month, happy creating :)

I know I’m a late starter this year, but Hi to everyone! it has been a while for me, but I’ve been a fan of Creative Everyday for quite some time and since I am back to being creative everyday I thought I should come over and play again.

Many thanks to Leah for maintaining this and keeping us all inspired.

Best wishes,
Liz

…it has been a busy month! My ‘Sweet Thangs’ are all posted, check out the fun slideshow! Also, an additional project, my monthly self portrait, is also posted.

Ready to tackle the next challenge…’ONE’!

Jenny

Finally some drawings in my “Draw with the Masters” practice. I was rather blocked there for awhile, but I think my muse in cranking up.

Thank you for hosting. It is very nice to come together with other creative bloggers!

Thank you for hosting. “One” is an interesting theme to work on. I’m working on drawing one face a day this month, so I’ll be able to contribute more often to this month’s challenge!

I haven’t been here is a while but I am back with not only some new art, but some free downloads. Even if you don’t print them out you can download them just to look or just check out the little characters on the page.

I have linked up. The dates are not exact, but I just did an update. Hopefully I will get time to focus on the theme next this May.
