Creative Every Day Check-In: May 7 – 13

May 7th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 5/7/12 - 5/13/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for May is One, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Thanks for hosting again ~ and hope the Birthday one is having fun ~ thanks, namaste, ^_^

Happy Monday everyone. I haven’t spent much time on my artwork. Bad! But i always manage to get my postcard challenge done. Last week we were off to New Zealand. A new week and a new start. Enjoy!

I little bit of everything this week.

I’ll be working on my paintings around Ker Church and a reduction linocut this week. I have some in-prgress work posted, and will be posting more at the end of the week. Have a creative week everyone! :-)

I’m probably going to start a series of papier mache pieces inspired by teaching art to children. I’m still working on my piggy bank and bowl.

This is such a complementary theme for me! I am making it my intention to focus on one task, project, etc. at a time this month! Love the serendipity of all the {one-ness}! ;)

It’s my first time posting a link for CED2012. Thanks to the 29 Faces challenge, I’ve actually been creating every day. I hope it helps me develop and keep up the habit.

This week I am both a student and teacher. What I learn in my painting classes is filtered through to my students, young and very old. This week I painted almost every day – check my blog to see two new pieces. Thanks, and let me know what you think

I have been in the background, reading your blog and I didn’t realize I could join in (with the Linky..) and share my creative inspirations here. So, this is my first time participating in this – it doesn’t show on my blog as of yet, but I will do this soon.

In the meanwhile, however, I try to be creative nearly daily in one form or another – whether it be by taking photos or writing lyrics/poems, or in another form. If I’m not being creative, I look for inspiration, hence the blog title.

So please, check out my blog… and Thank You Leah for being one of my daily inspirations! :) Happy creating!!

While I have not been working in my art journal everyday, I have been trying to be creative in other ways on days when I feel harried. Instagram is quick becoming my go-to for creative moments of awareness.

BTW your owl-themed birthday party was INSPIRED – love it!

I’m so glad to be able to participate without pressure. Although I’ve been creating this year, I’ve been doing so quietly. It was necessary, but I’m getting my voice back.
As always, thank you Leah!

I’ve been away for a while — still doing process art every day and blogging about it, but I’ve been so busy that Mondays have snuck by me, and it’s only later in the week that I’ve realized I forgot to check in here. After watching that happen for several weeks in a row, I decided to quit being so busy! I quit a couple of freelance jobs and said no to some chaos, and now I have more time for art and also for the lovely container garden my husband and I have. Pics on my blog at http://www.processartjournal.com/2012/05/07/bursting-out/

Happy art, everyone!

I’ve been away. Thought I drop in and try to get back on track.

This week’s post is about my weekend at an artist’s retreat with my Full Moon Women’s Circle – experiencing the collective wisdom that emerges when women circle.

Back at it. I took a week off when my daughter came for a visit. xoxo Terah

Working on something everyday is keeping me sane while I rehabilitate a frozen shoulder. Thank the stars, the moon and the sea for gesso, watercolor and acrylic. Happy week everyone!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted here. Been away from my blog quite some time. But I have been painting. Here is great energy exchange of intuitive painting. Glad to be back!

Better late than never! Happy Friday!

I watched the video of Annabelle’s first year. It was so worth the effort of compiling it!
Year two will be amazing!
