Creative Every Day Check-In: June 25 – July 1

June 25th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 6/25/12 - 7/1/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for June is Opposites, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Did you ever find that there is room between the two opposing rules of a paradox? That space between two almost opposite rules is the ground where I play and write. ~Mu Xin

Entering the final week of my blog series, Soul Paths: Women Answering the Call. Today, internationally known herbalist and Wise Woman, Susun Weed, shares her life-long journey on the road to authenticity. So powerful!!

As my series continues, I’ve been finding other avenues for my daily writing practice since I haven’t been writing on my blog. Journal writing, poetry, dream recording… my notebooks are slowly getting filled.

I am visiting my children and gathering inspiration this week, and I get to take a watercolor class in a couple hours! Yipee!

Considering I love paradox it is downright shocking I haven’t DONE anything on paradox this month!

So glad to be here & looking forward to visiting everyone!

Getting to the last few days of the June 30 days in your journal at Run With Scissors. I’ll be sad when it’s over. Anyone have any suggestions for a July challenge? http://jessicasporn.blogspot.com/2012/06/inspiration.html

I seem to have inadvertently produced something that fits the theme of opposites – a black and white piece from my pen and ink class. So much fun learning with a new medium and thinking about how I might incorporate it into my paintings…

I’m a day late posting. Busy yesterday having to transfer everything to a new laptop after one of our cat’s decided to spray on my other one! Also had to pick up my artwork from Art Crawl. Great attendance and I’ll be writing about it later this week on my blog! Have a creative week everyone! :-)

Oh Boy! Life has been crazy!! Thanks for having this place of calm that I know will be there when ever I get the chance to share. This week is a cutie that I crocheted from a class I’m taking online. More creative stuff is coming now that I have a bit of room to breathe again.

It’s hot hot hot. I’ve been in my studio. Have a nice week everyone!

Hey Leah and all,

I am having such fun following all of the links here. You are a really creative bunch and I so appreciate that,

xoxo

I haven’t been able to paint this week, due to illness.
Looking forward to getting back to it this afternoon.
Also – free Desktop Wallpaper on my blog today!

I didn’t have time to post pictures or blog much this week due to a move, but you can see what I was up to on my Facebook fanpage. I’m close to 30 likes now, which apperantly opens up some new information/features, would really appretiate the help getting there. There’s a link on my blog if you have the time.

Can’t wait to relax with a nice cup of tea tonight and see what everyone else has been working on. I’m sure it’s all fabulous!

My new post is Circle of Trust. What happens when someone breaks your trust?

I’m late arriving again this week! I’ve just posted on my blog art journal pages. I’m very glad to be involved in a round robin journal swap at the moment that helps keep my creating. I’ve also made lots of cards of late as there’s been a rush of special celebrations amongst our friends & family.

Hope you’re all having a happy & creative week!

Kat :-) Xx

lovely idea to bring together collective creative voices!

Ooh nearly missed it but I wanted you to see my NEW Craft Room.
I love combining textures and colours and have found a fun way to inspire others and get the creative mind working.
Off to have a look round now.
