Creative Every Day Check-In: July 30 – August 5

July 30th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 7/30/12 - 8/5/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for July is Round, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Looking forward to a new challenge here on my Spiritual Path with you are — so grateful for people like you who continue to inspire others. Blessings )O(

Swirling round in paint & stitches. And working on another ’round’ but don’t think I’ll get it done before this month ends as it is school summer holiday chaos here :-)

Wishing you all a happy & creative week!

Kat :-) Xx

Did lots of swirling of paint at the recent workshop I attended. Just having a lot of fun with art lately and hope the muse stays around for a long time to come!!

Great projects this week! I finally posted a ROUND project! Lol!

Wow! What a great theme! I created 31 daily pieces using a halo motif as my approach to the ’round’ theme for this month. I was influenced by Byzantine iconography and the decorative style of Gustav Klimt. When I started to look more at Klimt’s work it inspired my to create 5 additional pieces, not in the theme…and then my monthly self-portrait to ’round’ out the month.

Feeling pretty productive! Thanks for the great theme!

Keep artin’, ya’ll!!!
Jenny

I´ve been taking photos of still lifes lately, I have played with perspective in order to capture ROUND shapes of bowls or cups… this way I approached to the theme for this month

i love browsing everyone’s creative work; thank you for hosting this. i enjoy participating from time to time, but mostly i love what everyone is doing.

Without realizing the Shadow theme for August, I inadvertently wrote about it today in my post about dreaming of my own self-portrait – a reflection or shadow of myself – and what that means as I begin to regain a deeper sense of inner authority.

I just posted a CALL FOR ART for my wonderful friends to submit a design for a license plate for breast cancer in the state of California. I know that with all the marvelous creative divas here, we could have a wonderful plate that will not be simply a pink ribbon. We hope to hear from many of you :)

Perfect time of the season here where I’m at in Michigan for the theme of Shadows! I have started with a photo I took the other day and am going from there with this project. Can’t wait to read what others are posting, too — and this project, once again, shall be a challenge for me for sure xo!
