Creative Every Day Check-In: August 6 – 12

August 6th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 8/6/12 - 8/12/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for August is Shadow, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Embracing our shadow is the ultimate act of self-love. There is no greater love than the one that allows us to shine a light on the aspects of ourselves that we have judged and made wrong. ~Debbie Ford

New week…it’s like a blank canvas for all of you creative gals and guys! Fill it with color! Thanks, Leah for providing the means to share it all!

I can’t wait to get started again with my patterned papier mache bowls. They’ve been on the back burner for a while as I worked on healing but I’m ready to dive in this week! Happy Creating Everyone!

The many various Shadows this past year have been creeping in, causing cHaOs, and slithering out — and in our late Summer into Fall just arriving after the First Harvest, there are some showing their appearances everywhere I look: within the trees, on the ground, in the cracks and nooks and all four corners of my daily life.

But most of all, there are the two Shadows that live inside me, my Soul, my very being — awaiting to be awoken after a deep night’s slumber, some well-maintained, others unbalanced — and I am willing and ready in facing the depths of the unknown Mysteries with them…..

Yea! It’s party day!

Week 31! How did this happen? It was May like ten minutes ago! ;)

Shadow….a story is forming in my head…will see where it leads!

Wishing you all a happy & creative week!

Kat :-)

A well deserved vacation was cut short, but I did find a possible outlet for my paintings…

Thanks for the opportunity! I am jumping in rather suddenly. Even so, there are some metaphors that could easily cross over to the shadow concept.

Finished a needle-felted project and some photography this week.

I want to find a way to bring my writing to my acrylic painting and take storytelling to a whole new level…

Thanks Leah for giving us this platform to share. xoxo Terah

I have been hiding the shadows but I am back. Read my post to find out where I have been. :)

Thanks Leah for hosting and for your wonderful creations ~ enjoy the week (A Creative Harbor)

Can’t believe I lost touch with this group! Can’t wait to visit everyone’s blogs!
