Creative Every Day Check-In: October 15 – 21

October 15th, 2012

Art Every Day Month is next month! I hope you're excited! If you're looking for a little extra help through AEDM, check out the Survival Guide!

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/15/12 - 10/21/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is Trees. You can read more about the optional theme here.

Happy Creating!

I frequently tramped eight or ten miles through the deepest snow to keep an appointment with a beech-tree, or a yellow birch, or an old acquaintance among the pines. ~Henry David Thoreau

Once again, many thanks to Leah for hosting and promoting creativity! My post is actually about this month’s theme, trees. Have a creative week, everyone!

Since I was able to get the camera memory card out of the CD slot on this computer I have been able to load my Tree sketches – amazing what colour can do to a simple pen sketch. The burnt landscape tree resulted because I was trying to mix a russet brown – is this playing?? LOL

I have not been posting much about trees, but right now I am in the process of taking senior pictures of my daughter. She has a lot of ideas about where and how, but no matter where our picture taking has been, she has found a tree. There is just something about trees.

Happy Creative Monday! Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week :)

Love your challenge. Just signed up and look forward to it. I’m currently hosting one of our Glitter and a Movie movie-themed challenges this week, but I hope to participate soon.
Couldn’t agree more with you on including all forms of creativity, whether cooking, photography, writing, or painting, it’s all art. In my opinion, art is simply a story.
Thank you for hosting. Added your button to my page.
Much love,
Marcia

Happy Monday, everyone! I got a bot more work done on my large canvas, but the going is slow due to fall yard clean-up! I am participating in Blogtoberfest, so there should be a small post everyday. Have a great week!

I love this! I’m so glad I found this … the few blogs I’ve already visited have been such treats to view and read.
