Creative Every Day Check-In: October 8 – 14

October 8th, 2012

Art Every Day Month is next month! I hope you're excited! If you're looking for a little extra help through AEDM, check out the Survival Guide!

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 10/8/12 - 10/14/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for October is Trees. You can read more about the optional theme here.

Happy Creating!

I love this theme! I’ve been thinking and writing about trees all week.

Greetings All,

I just found this wonderful community and I love the aspect of artists sharing their journeys online this way. I am very much a tree person so I can’t wait to get share what I have been working on. Autumn is an important moment in a tree’s life cycle.

Thank you, fellow artists, for being here. I am sure I will learn a lot from you.

Peace,

Hello Leah I hope you and Annabel are doing well. I’ve entered a piece that I played with on the computer. It’s part of a doodle tree which has turned into a little night magic. Have a great week, take care. xx

In my novel I’m working on, one of the characters understands tree’s language and trees also play a role as healers. I love trees and the magical potential they hold!

Thanks for the inspiration, it was a wonderful theme for this time of year.

Other than participating in #treetuesday on Google+, I have been semi treeless this week.
Working within themes is something I want to work on. I shall have to make it one of my goals that I set this week. I have started Setting Goals Sundays on my blog to help me focus on small goals on the way to big goals.

thank you! love sharing in this way!

Vacation this past week, so just a little work…a lot of fun though!

We all Frolic!!! Enjoy!

Here in the south of England today it’s pouring with rain and I have been feeling grumpy, so I wrote a blog post and did an art journal page to cheer myself up. It’s not tree related but maybe it’ll cheer you up if you feel a bit gross today too. x

I love autumn weather, I feel so inspired lately! Maybe it is the beautiful trees changing colors. :)

I can’t wait for AEDM to start!!

Hello Leah! Been offline a bit too long. Trees. My favorite organisms on the planet! I haven’t done much art lately…but check out my Autumnal mood board – leafy images included!

Finally the theme and my muse are in alignment! I’m a tree hugger at heart so I’m sure I’ll be back again for this one! Thanks Leah xx
