Creative Every Day Check-In: December 24 – 30

December 24th, 2012

Sorry for the delay today, folks. If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you and yours have a magical holiday! This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2013 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 12/24/12 - 12/30/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter or Instagram you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for December is Celebrate. You can read more about the optional theme here.

Happy Creating!

For the month of December I CELEBRATED by making prayer flags; using 6×8 jeans fabric squares. I painted backgrounds and then daily used an arrow stencil as the design element and colors to suit the theme. Some were: celebrate silence, Annie’s smile, love, joy, light, independence, togetherness, hope. I loved doing this and they’re strung in a corner of my studio. My morning prayer deals with similar subjects in words. If you go to my blog, the prayer, First Impressions, is about my granddaughter and the horror in Connecticut. I love having Creative Every Day to get me started. Thank you. Wishing you and everyone here a happy creative new year.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Holidays and wishing you all the best in 2013! xo

Happy Holidays to all!!!

Happy Holidays to you and your dear family and thanks always for hosting this wonderful site ~ ^_^

I am celebrating my journey, I am celebrating awareness, I am celebrating acceptance (even when this involves allowing my odd Xmas mood…) and my creativity this month has been deeply linked to those facts

Wishing you all the best in 2013 xx

This past year has been a challenge for me to keep up with being “Creative Everyday” I have had hit or miss postings but I would like to thank Leah for keeping this up as it started me being creative again back in 2009. I know with a little one and working that it is a balancing act but thank you Leah for all you do! I hope you and your family have a wonderful new year!

Hi Leah and all,

My name’s Miranda and I’m just commenting to say I’ve signed up for 2013 for the first time. Looking forward to stirring up some creative juices this coming year, I think it is just what I need and this community looks like a lovely place to excite and inspire me.

xx
