Creative Every Day Check-In: March 25 – 31

March 25th, 2013

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can sign-up for the 2013 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 3/25/13 - 3/31/13.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter or Instagram you can use the hashtag #CED2013!

Theme: March's totally optional theme is Black & White, which you read more about here.

Happy Creating!

Thank you so much for providing this forum. All your originality and enthusiasm and energy are greatly appreciated.

Love this months theme, brough back some long lost inspirations, see my page http://www.thesmylingcreative.com/2013/03/ode-to-hazel-black-n-white-journal-page.html. thankyou for the jolt

Thanks for hosting! spring is not making easy to opt for black and white photos, but I´ve been thinking about polarized thoughts and this post is about spring cleaning, about dealing with the clutter outside and inside us.
Happy creative week

Had a fun time with the Black and White this month!

Hi Leah, I can’t get my thumbnail to show up- the link works but not the pic. Any ideas? Thanks!

Meanwhile, loved the black & white prompt- it was really hard for me to find a way to fit it into our story for the month, The Fisherman and His Wife, but I thought about it before going to sleep at night and one morning I woke up with the yin-yang symbol in mind and it all clicked together. Hope you’ll stop by Two Twitch a Tale and take a look. Can’t wait to see what you have for us next month!

really enjoying the new format. It’s so much fun to click on an image and see what everyone is up to!!

I did manage one black and white photo within my “in the moment” photography on my entry today. While I’m at it, a special nod to Maron (her comment is right above mine!) She is the reason I am posting here again – she emailed me and basically said, “Where are you? I miss you? Are you ok out there?”

Concern brought me back via Maron. Grateful!

Hello Leah, well I’ve managed to post a black and white photo of a street in my village, a little something black and white. Blessings to you! xx

Yeah, I participated every week for the month of March. I hope I can be as consistent in April.

I’m late this week and didn’t have anything at all to share last week, but at least I have a completed project today to make up for it a bit.=)

I just discovered your blog today, and really like it. Blessings!

I haven’t been around for a while; I’m kind of still not as there’s a lot going on offline for me right now. But I miss this space! So much to catch up on…. in the meantime, I just published a post about my book, which is coming out soon and there’s a free sample chapter available for all who might be interested. I feel gross about ‘marketing’ when I’ve not been here so much lately but I intend to get back in the groove asap! I’ve been painting a lot at least {also on blog} xx

Since my “creative every day” creation is formed with words, it’s been great fun to check in here each week and see what people are up to who are creating visually.

As for the black-and-white theme, that’s been a stick-to-it inspiration for me. Did I create something today? Did I write a poem? Did you make a picture? It’s a helpful way for me to view this adventure, in black and white. Because on our quests to be creative every day, the question isn’t was it a great poem or was it an incredible drawing. The question is, Did we do it? Black/white. Yes/no. Did we or didn’t we—And I’m grateful every time the answer is a resounding YES.
