Art Every Day Month 2018 Sign Up
October 5th, 2018
Art Every Day Month is once again right around the corner! This will be the 17th year I have been creating daily for the month of November and inviting others to join in. Art Every Day Month (AEDM) is a low pressure challenge for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to create daily for a month. Low pressure means if you miss a day, brush yourself off, and get back to it. No worries. By art, I'm talking a broad view. You could be cooking, taking pictures, dancing, writing music, crafting for the holidays, painting, sculpting, writing poetry, making jewelry, sewing, knitting, art journaling, you name it. You could decide to do a small 2"x2" drawing each day or you could do something different every day. Up to you! I tend to do more drawing and painting because that's what I like, but you can follow your heart. This year, I think I'll mix painting in with children's book illustration. Take some time this month to think about what you might like to work on or just show up and create!
If you're on Facebook, join the Facebook group where you can share your creations as well. If you're on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook you can use the hashtag #arteverydaymonth2018. I'll also have a daily post here starting November 1st, where you can share links to creations you've made.
Read more about the challenge here and then sign up below by leaving a comment. If you have a blog, website, flickr page, or instagram handle where you'll be sharing, share that below in the Mr. Linky form. If you aren't sharing your work online, then just leave a comment on this blog post saying that you're participating.
The challenge begins November 1st!

I’m IN! I’ll be taking to heart the “low pressure” part of the AEDM description as I continue to let go of the giant stopper called Perfection. Wait, let’s not even give it more weight by capitalizing it: perfection. Doing it hesitant/scared or even being willing to do something half-assed or shi**ily is still doing something. This is the most important part for me with any challenge. No. More. Waiting.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone brings into this round of AEDM!!!
Thanks for joining.

Hello! I was looking what to do after Inktober. This was my first time doing it, and I liked it so much, that I went to look ideas, what to do next. I was thinking about taking challenge to draw everyday, but was little bit scared of it. Creative Every Day 2018 is my first step to it. Hope to finish this year with a drawing per day!
Posted by: Made_By_Meri | Oct 28, 2018 at 4:04 am |
I intend on taking part and would upload videos of me making the art on YouTube. The last time I tried drawing every day, I only lasted for 4 days. I hope this time it would be different (but no pressure). ✌

Hi Leah,
Thank you for continuing to host this wonderful tradition! I am a bit erratic in my posts, but I try to do something creative everyday all year long. I’ll try to share my art and cooking as often as possible. I use my Facebook art page Dolci Studio and my Instagram page @dolcistudio frequently, so I’ll share in those places.

Hi Leah,
Thank you for this wonderful challenge.❤️ My wonderful friend Marga Fripp introduced me to it and I’m so excited to be part of this community! I’m a poet and really out of my depth when it comes to making art, but I hope that my artistic efforts this month will feed into my poetry. It all comes fro the same source, doesn’t it?
