Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 17

November 17th, 2011

Today is day 17 of Art Every Day Month! Do you all know how inspiring you are? Yes, you! I'm inspired by your creations, by your kindnesses, by your energy, and by your willingness to join in on this adventure. You rock!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

Finally felt up to creating these books I have been wanting to do

http://art-a-day-keeps-the-crazies-away.blogspot.com/2011/11/aedm-ced-thankful-books.html

Busy day yesterday so not much time for art, but I managed a couple of tiny sketchbook things. Waiting for my nephew to be born so a bit distracted!

It’s a beautiful morning here in Germany. Hoping to have a very creative day!

I have been sorting all my old books and have sketched the pile of books ready to go to Lifeline for their next book sale.

Wow! What a very hot and humid day in South Africa! I decided to draw something again today. No more laziness for me.

This week I’m playing around with small canvases. My AEDM project photo is at the end of my regular post.

A little nostalgic fun today!

It is finally getting chilly here in Texas. I am absolutely loving his challenge. I went by Texas Art Supply and gathered up a few things that I have never used before. (liquitex ink and time holtz’s color washes) There’s a learning curve, but I have been enjoying the experience.

This is not only moving me to create every day it is helping me to unearth dreams…I’m excited for what is happening…and so thankful to be sharing with the amazing souls here.

Dot, dot, dot – that’s what I’ve been doing for two days!

I never would have imagine a mermaid and angel figure would great me on this AED journey. It is a nice change of pace and has me thinking in new directions!

Q is for Questions today. What questions do you ask yourself as you work? Where do you find answers? Who do you trust? Please post answers to my blog – as a teacher of art, these are the questions, along with, what can I do better? that I wonder about all the time. Thanks

I have two posts today, and will maybe even post a third, if it gets done. I want to catch up with my creating.

Finally another post! Entitled “Damn y’all Princes on White Horses!” :-)

I have been creating every day, but kinda behind the scenes. Remember I promised to make a videopost on increasing your daily sexual/sensual energy? I started writing down ideas and wasn’t even halfway 6 pages later! Soooo… I’m turning it into an e-workshop/e-course! Yay!

Thanks for the great creative vibes everyone!!

Love,
Nele

I keep trying to get something creative done each day or at least I try to work on a project each day. I am trying to use the moments that the kids are in bed or school to get something done. Sometimes I should be doing things like cleaning the house, but sometimes things like that just have to get put aside! Creating is my sanity!

I have been MIA forever. I think I stopped coming by over the summer and never returned. It is wonderful to check in on some old friends and find new ones. I’m back creating miniature collages so stop by if you have the chance. Happy creating!

I taught my hubby Chinese Painting. He loved it!

I just discovered Sanguine oil pencils, and I love them. I really love how this challenge makes me try out new things!

Wow – I’ve sold two originals this week that I featured on my blog and had even made it to Etsy. AEDM rocks! :)

Lots of Ramblings tonight :) (Be kind, I’m medicated & tired lol) http://diysara.wordpress.com/2011/11/17/not-as-easy-as-pie/ #AEDM #aedm2011

I had always put my art on the back burner. I just started creating everyday at the beginning of November, thanks to AEDM. I can’t say what a difference it has made in my life. I have never felt so satisfied and complete. Hooray for AEDM!

I tried the ink blot idea I’ve been seeing some of you do and this is what I came up with for today…

I usually don’t get my post done til evening when I’m tired, but even though I’m tired, I’m still energized by all the creating I’ve been doing so I get busy! So glad I’m sticking with it :)

Finally broke my creative block!

Finally broke my creative block.

This is for AEDM # 16 and 17 … I just didn’t have time to post last night :) Having so much fun with this … can we stretch this out to Dec too? :)
