Creative Every Day Challenge Check-In:
April 27th – May 3rd

April 27th, 2009

Ced2009Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!

This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.

Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 4/27/09 - 5/3/09.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.

Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here.

If you want to sign up to be a part of the challenge, leave a comment on this post or email me to let me know. When you contact me, please let me know how you'd like to be listed in the list of participants, which resides in the right sidebar (I can list you as your name or as a link to a blog if you have one. A blog is not required to participate!) Please email or comment to let me know you're participating before you start posting links in the comments or on the "Mr. Linky" widget.

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for April is color. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the theme here. May's theme will be nature and you can read more about that here.

Happy Creating!!

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

I took a workshop on Sat. & will post soon. Interesting events today took over my blog post.

Leah,

Thank you for stopping by and leaving such positive comments.

I think this entry fits both the April and the May theme.

xoxo

some colorful doodles on my blog to bid adieu to the april theme, and photos from saturday to greet may’s. here’s to a great week!

We took a beach walk on Saturday, and I posted photos of the multicolored starfish that we saw. I know it’s still April, but it’s on the theme! Going out again today, and I’m excited to see what we find…Thank you for continuing to inspire me to “see.”

Playing with odd (for me) color combinations on the version of Medusa.

I feel like I’m moving into new creative territory, although I’m not sure what it will look like. In the mean time, I have an interview over at Pecannoot that I’d like to share.

Another new Medusa (or new version), with its own color challenge.

Greetings, fellow creatives! :-D

This is my newest poem, a nature poem for next month’s challenge. And art to go with it. if you want to see the poem–Do not click the URL link with my name, as that goes to my Medusa pictures, use the url just above or the Mr. Linky link.

Hi everyone!–I have a new(er) project on my blog http://foxyartstudio.blogspot.com/
now–a baby “blankie” sewn out of re-purposed felted sweaters–a gift for a soon to emerge baby girl—oh and yes a hat I knit for her…
I am now FREE of job hunting because I have a job–hooray!!!! I’m going to Alaska to cook at my friend’s sport fishing lodge
check it out here: http://www.portalexander.com/
Another creative every day thing : I designed their “celtic raven” logo on the Lodge’s front page awhile ago for them…their Lodge is called Laughing Raven Lodge. This si hard work, but I am thrilled to be going back to spend time in my home state–I will see old friends and family, and spend the summer eating fresh fish and picking wild blueberries for pies and doing art wotk–yep! I’m taking painting supples and yarn for knitting…I will have some days off…and not TV or radio or other media dsitractions..so will do art and read…and hike and boat…oh heaven!

A combination of last months and this months topics; working on “fresh perspectives” in colors from the garden. I placed the button in the left hand column. Do you need them in the post?

Hi Leah!
I just got my Artful Blogging in the mail and wanted to congratulate you on the fabulous spread. It looks fantastic!
May….I actually did a couple of “nature” type of pages in my art journal….didn’t know that was your theme at the time…but it works!

I captured April and May – colourful sky!

Wow-after this month I am actually really looking forward to next month’s theme…so much to think about–and not even done w this month yet.
Thank you for doing this.
Your art work is very inspiring and so beautiful.

I’ve posted about some goodies I won in a drawing online and some fabulous finds at an antiques mall yesterday.

I think finding goodies is a creative way to spend the day, don’t you?

I just realized I am closing in on my 5,000 visitor to the blog and thought the creative thing to do would be to have a giveaway.

Just leave a comment and you are entered. Drawing May 1.

xoxo

I’m sharing an art journal page and wanted to say I saw the two articles in Artful Blogger today and they were great!! I loved seeing all your art together and have alway thought you’d be perfect for them. Congrats!

Indigo and black.

Hamlet!

FINALLY! I can check in. I feel accomplished. :D

Sorry,

I added two today. One of them was really from a day or two ago that I never posted.

I am pretty happy with how the sketch of my foot turned out, but need more practice.

Wow – the creativity at work had kept me from doing much of anything with my art – and nothing to add over here, since the work stuff is confidential. But I’m back at my drawings and paintings again, finally, after missing nearly two months. And here I am, “Colorsweettooth” and during the month with a theme of “COLOR!” what is my only post? A group of monochrome figure drawings. LOL!

As usual, I love your quote at the close.
