Creative Every Day Check-In: September 14th – 20th

September 14th, 2009

Ced2009Welcome, Creative Every Day Challenge participants!

This weekly post is a place for CED participants to share their creative activities.

Ways to share: Leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a post (or posts) about your creative activities during the days of 9/14/09 - 9/20/09.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.)

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to.

Join in the Challenge: To find out more about the Creative Every Day Challenge check out the details here.

If you want to sign up to be a part of the challenge, leave a comment on this post or email me to let me know. When you contact me, please let me know how you'd like to be listed in the list of participants, which resides in the right sidebar (I can list you as your name or as a link to a blog if you have one. A blog is not required to participate!) Please email or comment to let me know you're participating before you start posting links in the comments or on the "Mr. Linky" widget. (update: oopsie daisy! I forgot to put the new Mr. Linky in, when I posted this, but it's up now!)

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for September is inspiration. I'll be posting about the theme throughout the month. You can find out more about how you can use the inspiration theme here.

Happy Creating!

I didn’t see a new Mr. Linky to go with this week’s posts, so I just added my name at the end of last week’s.

Had a great art day on Saturday with lots of other arty types.

C’mon over and don’t forget to sign up for the giveaway.

My “stay-cation” (hubby was away for a week on a Canadian fishing trip) is over and I had an awesome, artsome week. I spent hours in my studio working (and playing). Just me and my sidekick, Magie (my Scottie). Spent one day of the week with an artist friend going from gallery to gallery in Scranton. What a great art community there is here locally. Big news is that I have a (one woman) show scheduled for November in a beautiful new trendy Restaurant! How’s that for inspiration?!

Finally, I have placed a new post on my blog. September has become a busy month.

Leah,
Here’s the link per your request. Hope the move is going smoothly. Have a great week!

this week i want to be very creatively productive and finish my “i move bravely forward” creativity toolkit.
i am also diving into inspiration – going on a 3 day retreat at a beautiful spot on the lake. going to soak in the inspiration of nature. yum!

Hi Leah and everybody else,
They say blue flowers are good companions to boost artists’ inspiration.
So this week I share a few of my blue flowers.

Wire and Wood. I love them.

Gearing up for Day of the Dead here :) Opened the next collaboration & fest this year and call for exhibit 2010 — if anyone wants to come play along! And I’m busy working my ideas for what my series will be this year… not sure yet… but having fun playing that’s for sure! Miracles to all! k-

I’m playing catch-up! As if I’m alone, hey?

I’m about to read the last couple of inspirational posts provided by Leah and that should give me a good get-go.

I am so hooked on Photoshop!!

I’ve posted another Photoshop tutorial – this time how to make a seamless pattern.

Hope you like it.

I’ve posted a digital scrapbook with dialog telling how I made it.

[...] journey as I read this book and how it stretches me. September is also the month of inspiration at Creative Every Day, and needless to say I am joyousy inspired by the creative and spiritual quest Sue and Ann took and [...]

I went to see Sue Monk Kidd last night and her daughter, Anna, talk about their new book: “Traveling with Pomegranates.” I am sooooo inspired by these two women!

And Leah, I accidentally put the wrong URL in my first link so that is why you see me twice. The first one can go!

I’ve been finding inspiration everywhere lately!

I’m altering a kids’ book with acrylics and collage… http://daisyyellow.squarespace.com/vividlife/altered-book-pinkblue-rev-11.html.
