Trust

November 2nd, 2008

I'm glad the widget (in the last post) is working!! I'll post one of them each day, so that you can post a link directly to the page or image of what you created that day if you have something that you want to share. Here's what I created today, a mixed-media painting called "Trust." It's 6"x12" on canvas and was inspired by reading "Soul Coaching" and responding to the questions posed in today's passage in the book. Each week in the book has an element theme and this week is wind. I went for a walk today through the loads of fall leaves scattered around and breathed in the crisp, cool air. I also answered the questions in from the book in a journal that I'm keeping separate. I may blog about it when I've had some time to reflect or may be not, but I'm appreciating the thoughtful questions and the time spent writing out the answers. Something about writing things down can be powerful, just like showing up and creating each day can be powerful. I'm going to keep on moving and trusting. It feels good.

gorgeous! so LUSH.
i just did a collage last week featuring the word “trust” !
the collective unconscious at work again…. :-)

I’d like to join Art Every Day!

Another beautiful creation, Leah. This one really gives a sense of going deep within oneself with the colors you used. And it’s like the wind represents the internally turned mind stirring things up inside…the birds are realizations and enlightenments gleaned about oneself being brought up to the surface on wings. Gorgeous!

WOW! This is magnificent, Leah! The colours and symbolic feel to it is amazing. I’m lovin’ Serena’s interpretation.

love it, leah!! it’s beautiful!!!

Love it, love it, love it! I just ordered “Soul Coaching” and plan to participate on the blog with Jamie as soon as it arrives. I can’t wait to read what you did, that inspired such beautiful art. You never fail to amaze me! ~Sara

Hi Leah & everyone -Just returned from a weekend long workshop -Calligraphic Drawing- to start my AEDM. I have posted 4 images of my work to the flckr account. They are not really done, and I will show the evolution -if I get there- as the month goes along. I think this is where I’m supposed to comment about my work, too, if I don’t have a blog. Please let me know if this is not the right way to do it. I am excited about the start to my month & participating in AEDM. I look forward to hearing about & seeing everyone’s work! Cheers -Lisa

wow. It’s beautiful – really beautiful. You have such a gift. Your work always makes me sigh in recognition and wonder – amazing!

I just love this piece. The colors really draw me to it.

Love this trust piece… giving into the flow, trusting…I want a print of it big to hang in front of my desk…it makes me breathe deep again.
Thanks, Leah.

You make such beautiful ‘things’.

Leah, Your Trust painting reminds me of how creative women…creative folks … all people must learn to trust our intuition and the creative process called life. Love the blue colors….

I really like this one. Your lady remind me of my flying girls, and I love the depth of colors, and I want to incorporate text into mine. I don’t think I’ve done that successfully yet. Well, maybe once.

Maybe that’s what I should try tonight.

It’s a moving piece, Leah! How beautiful!

I also loved what you had to say about journaling and taking the time to thoughtfully ponder questions. There is something about writing things down. I agree, whole heartedly!

I plan on taking some time this evening to do some journaling myself :)

Sending you love, darling!

XOXO

What a beautiful piece! And I’m so with you about the power of writing things down. Even though I believe it deeply, it still amazes me as I watch things shift and develop from that simple act.
