Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 23

November 23rd, 2011

aedmlogored

Today is day 23 of Art Every Day Month! I know this is a busy week for many of us. If you have to work small or include your family in your creative time, do that! There are always ways to squeeze in a bit of creativity into a busy day.

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

I am so glad I am doing this. Before this I wasn’t making art even once a week – so glad to have this new routine in my life!!! I really enjoy seeing what everyone else is doing and am so inspired and learning so much. Thanks everyone!

So close to the end! What should I paint for these last few days?

Only 7 days left. It is quite exhausting, doing the photography and uploading the posts, but worth it to be able to see all the others.
xx

This has been great. Thanks

I definitely agree with Gwen, that it’s really worth it to spend a lot of time to take pictures and uploading posts because people here appreciate it very well. This group has been very supportive and it just makes me happy to have been connected with each and everyone here at AEDM.

I agree with Gwen and Ida May. Having such a terrific time with AEDM. Don’t get me wrong, its definately a challenge, sometimes a struggle but oh so worth it!

So inspiring to see and hear about everyone else’s art everyday. A little bit of ‘bittersweet’ today.

I have so enjoyed AEDM. It’s made me consider how I work and at what pace. My AEDM project picture is at the end of my regular post. This week, I’m playing with paper.

Sorry, I’m not quite sure how I managed it but i first linked in today with yesterday’s post. I couldn’t noodle out how to delete that entry so I added a second link for today. I am really enjoying the challenge Leah….it is keeping me on my toes :>

It’s been inspiring for me as well to see the variety of art that has been created this month. I finished the 10th of 12 embroidered and appliqued squares that are part of a quilt that I’m making this month for AEDM.

Hi lovelies!

I haven’t been around much with posts and stuff cause I took some time to rest and to work behind the scenes for my upcoming workshop. So I’ve been very creative but not that kind of things I can show every day :-)

It’s so nice to see how differently I’m taking on this challenge this year. I’m in peace with my own pace while a year ago I was so stressed out when I couldn’t post something! :-)

Might I be growing up?! :-)

Love to read and watch you all, I’m really enjoying my tours through the AEDM-landscape!

Love,
Nele

Some watercolors, and now off to take our holiday guests to a lovely garden!

Oh my how the month is flying by. Catching you all up with some studio love.
Thank YOU! all you amazing creative souls.

Sliding in late in the day with my WIP (work in progress). If you are tired of all my crocheting, don’t go and look.
:-P

Today I played with my camera instead of my paintbrushes. We woke up to our first snow and it beckoned so I grabbed my camera and head out for a stroll. I LOVED it.

whooo hooo! Two days in a row without having to do any “catching up”! :) I am so loving seeing so many amazing creations-wow, what amazing artists i am hanging out with this month! I managed to create a little pretty I have wanted to make for my favorite season/holiday for a year or so now!

Time for a turkey break!

Did some Zentangling and Scribble Drawing tonight.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! I won’t be posting tomorrow, but will be creating. :)
