Art Every Day Month Check-In: Day 3

November 3rd, 2011

aedmlogored

Welcome to day 3 of Art Every Day Month! We have such an amazing group of creators here. I love the energy you all bring to the challenge!

The box below is a widget that I provide each day as an optional place to share a direct link (blog post or flickr image) to that day's creation. (If you're receiving this post via email, you'll have to click through the blog to see the widget.) If you don't have something to share today, don't worry about it! Share when you can. In the meantime, be sure to check out what other participants are creating! Check out the links from today's post and the links on the participant page for instant inspiration. You can also see lots of great work in the AEDM flickr group. Feel free to share your work there too!

If you use the widget, please link to a specific blog post, not your main blog page or website (or you can link to a specific image if you're linking to a flickr page.) For example, last year for day one I linked to my first post: http://creativeeveryday.com/creativeeveryday/2010/11/the-owl-and-the-pussycat.html instead of my main blog page: http://www.creativeeveryday.com. This makes it easier for people to find your work.  If you want to share, but don't have a specific page to link to, feel free to use the comments section of this post to share what you're working on. If you're posting less than once a day, no problem! Simply use the latest one of these posts to share a link to your creation. For some, it's too much to keep up with posting every day, but don't let that get you down. Do it if you can and if you can't, just keep on creating, that's the most important part. If you get off track and miss a few days of creating, don't let that freeze you up either. Just pick up where you left off and keep moving forward. One foot in front of the other. You are making your life a more creative one with each step.

How to participate in Art Every Day Month: Check out the AEDM info page for all the details, instructions on how to get involved, and then visit the participants page to sign-up before you use the link widget to share your creations. The Information page also has instructions about how to use the widget below, if you're having any trouble with it.

Survival Guide: If you feel like you could use some more support, prompts, and motivation to keep going throughout the month, check out the Art Every Day Month Survival Guide.

Twitter: If you're on Twitter (I'm on there as @leah_art), I'll be using the hashtag #aedm2011 to mark Art Every Day Month tweets. It helps to find others who are tweeting about AEDM!

Instagram: You can use the same #aedm2011 hashtag if you're playing along on Instagram.

Creative Every Day Challenge participants: If you're not doing Art Every Day Month, you can still use any of the daily Art Every Day Month check-in posts to leave your weekly link.

I am in a different time zone so every day when I come in here to post my link the post is already for the next day. I’m in Alaska (4 hours ahead of eastern time) but it feels like I’m a another galaxy far far away LOL

I really appreciate all the comments I’ve been getting on my blog. It’s really nice to get feedback!

Donna, I’m at the other end of things – morning in Germany!

I’ve been enjoying taking the time to create each day. It makes a difference when one carves time out for any form of creativity on a daily basis. Thank you for hosting AEDM. It’s so inspiring to see what everyone is doing!

Every Thursday I do a quick craft on my blog, but I also included a picture of my AEDM project at the end of the post. This week, I’m making fabric and ribbon flowers…some pretty, some not so pretty.

Awesome linkup…inspiring for sure! Looking forward to popping by to see what creative fun everyone’s been up to!

Annabelle is soooooooo adorable and love your book idea ~ have had 2 blank books that I have not done anything with ~ maybe for my niece and nephew ~ Thanks for hosting ~ namaste, Carol (Share the Creative Journey)

Lots of ideas are coming! I was so right to ignore my decision to not do this. :) It’s all very small and slow progress so far, but from tiny acorns…etc etc. So nice to ‘meet’ new people too.

Wasn’t sure I could do this, but I’m feeling the energy!! I’m going to use this as a way to finish up all my undone projects! Plus I get to see so many other creative things being done here. I am expecting November to be a very creative and productive month! Thanks!

Whew! I’m having a hard time figuring out the steps for posting and commenting. Thanks so much for this opportunity! I’m going to come back on the weekend and spend time looking! I’m anxious to visit you all!

Lori

I’m also participating in this fantastic initiative, I put the link on my blog! Thanks and good creativity at all

Penned a goodbye poem today…

Loving this challenge!!! It’s really helping my MOJO get back in gear – I soooo needed this! Thank you!!

Oh I love this atmosphere of excitement and discovery that comes with AEDM!

Had some trouble tuning in today but finally got to write, with the help of candles and chocolate :-)

So post 3 is up: “No death, no sex”! Sounds cool, right? ;-)

I posted progress shots of a painting I just finished.

Just quick bit of creativity!

whew!!
Glad to be back this year, and only three days late.
Can’t wait to take a look and see what’s been posted.
Thanks again for hosting, Leah!

Writing novelized, detailed scenes from my past in order to accomplish a new mindset has been made possible by doodling and completing pages in my “Wreck This Journal” … Collage and color are helping me move through the difficult spaces of the heart. ♥

So far, so good! I’m loving the challenge and hope to see some of you ladies over at Tattered!

Within the last 3 days I’ve created a painting and 2 art journal pages – the art journal pages are coming but for now I’ve shared my painting. It helped me transform a bad day into something beautiful…I love creating everyday and I love this space for the inspiration to do it

I will be posting pics once a week, but so far I’ve painted three realistic abstract or abstract realistic paintings – I haven’t decided which. Happy creating, all.

So glad I signed up for this challenge. I don’t usually create every day and now I feel challenged to create with new materials and ideas that I’ve only played with in my head. I’ve also enjoyed meeting other artists. This is a great group and idea. Thanks everyone!!!

Trying my hand at some drawing today! I like doing just a little art every day… it’s been a while!!

[...] in day 3 of Art Every Day and NaNoWriMo. This is my post for Art Every Day. Thought I might try something a little different. [...]

I created a fun mixed media piece today!

I thought I had added my link today on my earlier visit but I DIDN’T! Anyway… I felt disappointed about my lack of progress until I looked more deeply. Love what everyone is doing.

My first three days of the Sketchbook Project are now up on the blog!

Loving this. Can’t wait until I have more time to blog hop. I love seeing what everyone else is creating!

Loving the push to create and connect!! so empowering! Cant wait to see what others are creating :)

I’m working my way through Betty Edwards’ Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain book & workbook for this project and I have to admit, the toughest part really is just making that first mark. After that, it’s so much easier to keep going.

Just started with this challenge for day 3, great to be here and I am looking forward to visiting other blogs to see what inspiring delights are shared.

I went out on a limb today and started writing about my recovery from depression.

Lovin this journey – thanks to all who have stopped by to give me support. Already ruminating over ideas for tomorrow.

Thank you for doing this and letting me participate. I am hoping that this will help me be more creative in my life!

I love that Leah saw a woman speaking tree language sitting on the moon.

I’m having fun and feeling like I’m starting to loosen up. Trying some new things that are different from what I normally do.

I’ve done something small today. Very tired from my first bit of time back at work since the accident. It’s great to see life regaining more normalcy! Have a great night ^^ & thank you!

Yay-made it to day 3! I was *REALly creative today! (see my blogpost…hee hee!)
Now tomorrow will begin a 10 day challenge to keep up…my son arrives for a visit and I have not seen him for 10 months! Hmmm…maybe some mother-son artistic adventures/colborations?! We shall see…! :)

Thanks for leading through yet another journey of Art Every Day Month!! Please be gentle with yourself, you have your hands very full w/the wee one!! Post whenever you can, it doesn’t have to be every day. Hugs!

This has been fun so far … I many not be able to do this everyday, but then again with all the stuff I have floating around in my brain it shouldn’t be a problem :) Nice to get new followers and I LOVE the comments!!

Such inspiration among this crew!

I do not know if I am going to be able to blog my posts as well as post them up on Flickr. But I definitely plan on creating every day! I am having fun so far…
