Creative Every Day Check – In: July 2 – 8

July 2nd, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 7/2/12 - 7/8/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for July is Round, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

Leah, continuing thanks for hosting us and helping us connect with other creative souls. Blessings!

I got ambitious today and created a mixed media abstract series called “uncommon blues” after the sample 3 pk of acrylic paint I was using from Curry’s :) .
Stay inspired!

I changed the series title so as not to get any flack from Golden as I hadn’t realized that’s actually their name of the packaging. The series is now called “trial blues” as it’s a trial pack from Golden but the title is also slightly ambiguous which makes things more interesting :) .
Stay inspired!

I was able to take a watercolor class during my stay in Spokane, and shared the results on my blog. Happy Monday!

Hope you are enjoying summer, Leah.

Absolutely love your latest creation ~ such a talented lady ~ thanks for hosting ^_^ ~~ thanks, ^_^ (A Creative Harbor)

Thanks for encouraging us in our creative endeavors each day. I’m going to like this theme!

Soul Paths, my June blog series came to a close on Saturday, and I wrote a concluding piece yesterday. I was overjoyed with the writers and readers for the series – and some of you joined in the conversations through your comments. Thank you!

I continue with my exploring and experimentation. Looking into more ways creativity can make my life fuller. Also, spent some time today looking up Leonor Fini. Haven’t explored her artwork in quite some time and it was fascinating.

Happy news: my submission for a Cloth Paper Scissors reader challenge was published in the July/Aug issue! Hope everyone is enjoying some success in the studio as well!
