Creative Every Day Check-In: July 9 – 15

July 9th, 2012

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can now sign-up for the 2012 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 7/9/12 - 7/15/12.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter, you can use the hashtag #CED2012!

Theme: The (totally optional) theme for July is Round, which you can read more here.

Happy Creating!

This week I did a needle felting project and worked on a crazy quilt purse.

Have two pieces in the Member’s Art Show at AFA Gallery in Scranton. What a great opening reception on Friday! Scranton is becoming quite the mecca for artists, with so many galleries and studios and a wonderful First Friday program featuring local artists and musicians. It’s awesome to have business owners who support the arts by inviting artists to display their work in salons, restaurants, etc!

Love learning new techniques using watercolor

Was creatively productive during my week-long hospital stay getting chemo, and am thoroughly enjoying art journaling :) Will be posting more today.

This week, I told a story that has been brewing for a few weeks now. I recently made some major changes in my life so that I can begin following my dreams. Very frightening, but I know it will bring me down the path I am meant to follow.

Love this theme, and I’ve actually got a post that fits within the theme this time! I’ve fallen in love with mandalas… Have you tried them yet? So much fun to draw, I’m also doing one with embroidery.

Sorry about double posting.

Loving seeing all the beautiful work.

Although my life has been hectic, I’m finding inspiration and setting aside time to create!

I love being a part of this community again–thanks so much for creating this!

Hi Everybody. I Hope to be back in the studio after this last competition. Terah

Hi! My link was to my post about homemade lemonade my daughter wanted to make. It was YUMMY!

Doesn’t exactly fit with your round theme, but lemons are semi-round right? lol
