Creative Every Day Check-In: March 11 – 17

March 11th, 2013

This weekly check-in post is a place for Creative Every Day Challenge participants to share their creative activities.

Join in the Challenge: You can sign-up for the 2013 Challenge here!

Ways to share: Once you've signed up, you can leave a comment on this post and/or use the "Mr. Linky" widget below to link to a blog post(s) about your creative activities during the days of 3/11/13 - 3/17/13.

The widget below is an optional method of sharing your creativity that makes it easier for others to check out what you're up to. You can use it to link to a blog post (or posts) or flickr image during the week listed. Or if you have a bunch of posts and don't want to link to all of them, you can link to your main blog page once. Do it in a way that makes sense and is fun for you! If you're unsure about how to use the widget, check out the "How to use the Mr. Linky widget" section on the Creative Every Day Challenge page. (If you're reading this in a RSS reader or email subscription, you will not see the "Mr. Linky widget", so click on over to the blog to use it.) If the Mr. Linky widget is missing from this blog post, it's probably a problem with their server and it will come back as soon as it's fixed. You can always leave your link in the comments.

You can also take advantage of the great CED flickr group to post your images and see what others are up to. If you're on Twitter or Instagram you can use the hashtag #CED2013!

Theme: March's totally optional theme is Black & White, which you read more about here.

Happy Creating!

Thanks for the opportunity to participate!

Black & White—on my mind lately is how being Creative every day erases black and white thinking. When you aren’t creating your particular art–a poem, a picture, a blueberry streusel pie—life feels black/white, on/off, time to work/no time to create. But when you open that gift of creating every day, you open bottomless barrels of color, and poetry, and your own life becomes your art. Writing a poem every day colors my life and gives me a long, multi-colored road to look back on and forward to…

This has been a rough week for measI suffer severe chronic back pain and degenerative joint disease and when the pain is over the top it puts me in depression. None of which is condusive to creating. I did manage a couple of pieces and hoping to do a black and white page before the dead line. Hope everyone has a good week.

Happy Monday Leah!! Thanks for hosting and have a great week :)

Black and White? Ohhh, that gives me some ideas. The world not being all “black and white” (easily distinguishable This Or That) is an idea I’m meditating on a lot lately, so that could be a great visual cue! Thanks!

thank you, thank you! but my image didn’t load…oh well!

oops, it did after the fact! :)

I felt in need for a little more spring colors (it’s still all icy here…), so I made a little ATC with a tulip (that gaev me joy last week in my vase) and a sweet bird…

Thanks for offering the possibility to share and thanks for all your hosting work!

Linking up my latest faces this week.

Thanks so much for hosting :)
