Art Every Day Month 2015 Sign Up
October 5th, 2015
Art Every Day Month is once again right around the corner! This will be the 14th year I have been creating daily for the month of November and inviting others to join in. It is a low pressure challenge for anyone who wants to challenge themselves to create daily for a month. Low pressure means if you miss a day, brush yourself off, and get back to it. No worries. By art, I'm talking broadly. You could be cooking, taking pictures, dancing, writing music, crafting for the holidays, painting, sculpting, writing poetry, making jewelry, sewing, knitting, art journaling, you name it. You could decide to do a small 2"x2" drawing each day or you could do something different every day. Up to you! I tend to do more drawing and painting because that's what I like, but you can follow your heart. Just create!
Every day I'll have a new post to share a link to what you're creating (if you have a blog or flickr account), or you can simply comment on the post and write about what you're up to there. I'll be posting my creations daily here and if you follow me on Instagram (leah_art), then you may see them there too. There's now also a Facebook group where you can share your creations as well. If you're on Instagram or Facebook you can use the hashtag #aedm2015.
Read more about the challenge here and then sign up below. Use the widget to sign up if you have a blog, flickr, or other page where you'll be sharing your Art Every Day Month creations. If you don't have a place to link to, simply comment below and say you're joining in!
The challenge begins November 1st!

Really looking forward to this challenge! This will be the first year for me as I have spent my Novembers writing for NaNoWriMo (ten years now). This time I thought I would do both AEDM and NNWM! Hoping to generate a lot of crazy creative synergy!

So happy to participate this year! What a great challenge! Tapping into my creativity every day will be a wonderful way to tap into my Wise Woman. I am always creating in my head and craving to get these ideas out, but not takin the time every day. So just getting the ideas out in a creative way EVERY DAY will be such a great way to up my creative practice, taking it to another level. Thanks for creating this, dear woman while listening to your Wise Woman!

Well, “gang,” this is my first year doing this. I’m pretty excited to see what everyone creates!

Hello Everyone! I am thrilled to have found you and am excited to participate. I have just left the world of 9-5 work to devote myself full-time to art; I’m still trying to establish a daily practice and find inspiration. The universe led me in a very circuitous way to this group and I am VERY thankful!

So glad my own blog suggested me I read an AEDM post! I came immediately to find out if the challenge was on this year. Happy to see it is!
I´ve been reviewing craft fairs and interviewing crafters all year long. Lots of art in my life right now.
It´s good to be back. {big hug}

I just found out about this challenge through Tammy Garcia of Daisy Yellow on Facebook. It sounds like fun! I like that it includes all types of creativity and art.
Posted by: Beth | Oct 16, 2015 at 8:27 am |
Just found out about this group from Tammy Garcia. I have been trying to do art everyday on my own. It will be great to have a group of artists doing the same for support and accountability.
Posted by: Liz Boltuc | Oct 16, 2015 at 8:46 am |
I got started doing art every day in 2014 with Tammy Garcia’s Index Card a Day Challenge, and except for a few missed days due to illness, or family emergencies, I have kept it up faithfully. It is the icing on every day’s cake for me! Looking forward to getting into this challenge at this time as I am in the process of moving (October 24!), and the new venue may (or may not! )

I don’t have a blog or what have you…i found this challenge on Facebook. I have been trying to get back into doing more art this past year. So far journalling has been really the only thing I have done. I am part of the J52 group, for two years now and I love it but it’s only once a week and so I struggle to push myself past that once a week creative surge. This may be just the ticket. I just recently also found the daisy yellow blog which has kept me a bit busier as well.

If I didn’t sign up, I’d feel like something was missing. As November is the last leg of my GRI (graduate real estate institute), this NOvember will be challenging in more ways than one! I see a lot of line drawings (coloring book pages) in the offing! Looking forward to being here again and the streeeeeeeetch it always gives my art.

I took part in AEDM a couple of times, but then missed a couple of years. I hope I can take part every day – I’m a digital abstract artist – but depends on how it goes on the sale of our apartment – moving from North Cyprus to Ireland at some stage. Fingers crossed – I love the way it kicks you in the ass to get up and get creating.

I have done 30 day art and artjournal projects in the past. The most recent one was in September. I just saw this one (via an email newsletter from Jennifer Lee) and decided it might be kind of cool to make it part of my new Falling Into Winter series of posts for my Art For Arachnoiditis Project website for Spinal Arachnoiditis Survivors. The Art for Arachnoiditis Project to empower Spinal Arachnoiditis Survivors via participation in the arts is fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts. Anyone interested can find out more about the history of the project at artforarachnoiditis.org or on my studio website at http://sheilalynnkart.com/section/390864-Art-for-Arachnoiditis.html [arachnoiditis is a spinal cord injury caused by the neurotoxins in spinal injections and invasive spinal procedures] I BELIEVE ART HEALS. So excited to try this. Funny that I was just thinking how I needed to stay motivated to create more art, develop a daily-ish practice and this showed up in my life. Love how The Universe speaks!

I’ve been missing creating, and am happy to be on board this year. I’m hoping to combine the making of Art Every Day and getting my act together for the holidays, so hopefully some cool gifts will come out of this month. Thanks for the inspiration!

sounds like fun! Please sign me up! I will be using the Facebook page.
if possible – I would like to share my spot with my mom who is living with me for a bit while she recovers from a stroke – she is re-learning to knit and has 2 projects going… Enjoying some adult coloring, and will be making her Christmas cards. The majority of posts will be mine – but if you could add her name to the Facebook group I would appreciate it and will request to add her soon.Judy Rarick is her name. Her eyes were severely affected so it’s a big deal for her to do these types of things.
Thanks! Looking forward to receiving inspiration from the group!
