Happy creating!
The best ideas come unexpectedly from a conversation or a common activity like watering the garden. These can get lost or slip away if not acted on when they occur.

I love unexpected ideas. Now I have keep a small sketch journal in my purse, by the bed, and of course – in my “studio”.
I posted a new ATC that I hope becomes the beginnings of a series.

Today I finished the altered LP (I added snow). Now just have to paint the back a solid color and adhere a serrated hanger and it is ready to hang.
Also made a couple of ATCs.
Thanks so much for doing more of this AED

This time of year you feel that you have a million things going on at once. I posted a few of those million projects that I am currently working on… Wish me luck in completing them on time…eeeekkkkkkk
Cheers!

I lie in bed and email myself on my Blackberry!
A journal would be better!…maybe faster too since I could sketch what I was thinking of and not have to write and describe it…typing on a BB is a pain!
Had a nice day today finishing my Christmas cards – just the few I have made to send to family and a very few friends…tonight during dog walk with hubby I will have a stack of things to mail…I love that feeling!

My brain is crowded with ideas, but mostly what has been coming out is gift making.
I have been having fun with an online group writing project. There are about a dozen of us and we’re up to around 1700 words in the month of December.
Writing a story (novel?) with a bunch of others is quite an exercise in releasing control.

Here’s finishing up my last bits from Art Every Day Month (since I started late I’m finishing late).
I think however I shall join in with this weekly widget thing. I’ve become accustomed to hanging out here and seeing what everyone else is doing!
It true (as I remarked at my blog): it takes three weeks to make (or break) a habit. After participating in Art Every Day Month, even though it was hard going in the beginning, I’m now in the habit of making art, well if not every day, at least much more often than I was.
I had some things come up in my life which meant I didn’t get to do any art for a week or so, but because of the habit I got into from AEDM I found myself itching, really itching, to get back to it. Which hasn’t been the case for some time. So thank you Leah, very very much.

I love this idea. By signing up it is a wonderful reminder of how important it is to create every day!!! Thanks

I like this week’s quote – so true! I’ve had some of my favorite paintings come to me when I was doing the most mundane things – and I do lose them if I don’t get to them quickly. Others, though, seem to come from deeper inside, and they take months to take shape and finally get on the page. Like the one I’ve linked to above.
